There is not a snack in the world better than this one:
Hi-Chews come in second place especially when eaten while drooling over 400 outfits that I need from the J. Crew catalogue.
Why are backpacks and helmets 5 trillion times cuter on kids compared to adults?
Hooked on turkey bacon and jam is a must on all of my family’s grilled cheese sandwiches.
Brooke will be gone this weekend so I am stealing as many kisses as possible and keeping her up way past her bedtime for some quality time together.
Jess has a killer 1/2 trail marathon this weekend (with over 2,000 ft elevation gain) and so I am being a good friend and helping her carb load for the big day.
The Wednesday night softball games are always a good time and penguin blanket accompanies me.
I will be doing THIS ab workout today after my 90 minutes of pool running (ps to track my ‘mileage’ in the pool I am just saying 1 mile = 10 minutes of pool running).
REMEMBER THESE COOKIES—> I have the recipe for you now!
Best cookies you will ever have:
1 c butter
1 c sugar
1 c packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 c flour
1tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2.5 c blended oatmeal (2.5 cups before you blend)
1/2 tsp salt
12 oz chocolate chips
1 4 oz grated hershey bar
Blend oatmeal to fine powder. Cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powders and baking soda. Add chocolate chips and grated Hershey bar. Refrigerate dough for a few hours. Bake at 375 until cookies are light brown on top (about 10 minutes). These cookies are best when you make them extra big.
My quad started feeling a tiny bit better last night, I am guessing that means I will be running by the end of next week… playing it beyond safe this time around.
Only 3.4 weeks until the marathon, nothing to stress about;)
