I came home from school PSYCHED to do my track workout.  That is strange coming from me, the person that used to hate any type of speed workout.  I hurried and changed into my running gear and made my way to the track!

IMG_4694.jpg

Warm-up:  1 mile @ 8:00 pace……Yeah, not quite (I knew there was a problem when in reality I did a 10:30 mile with crazy pain).  I went home crying.

I think I tore a muscle in my quad on my snow run 3 weeks ago (I had never ran on snow and went too far and too fast on something I had never experienced)  and it has hurt ever since. Since it is a muscle and not a joint I thought it would be okay to just push through the pain and on the runs previous to today after a mile or two it warmed up and I felt fine.  Even on my 27 miler on Saturday it felt AWESOME after my legs warmed up a lil’!

Not yesterday.

Don’t worry I don’t think it is too serious but I am going to be SMART about this one and not run until I feel ZERO pain.  I am thinking just a few days of icing, resting, compression and elevation will do the trick.

I am staying optimistic because our minds effect our healing and in the long run of things, racing season is just beginning so it is imperative that I heal completely so I can do MANY races this year.

At first I was really mad but then I went to the gym and did 45 minutes of upper body and ab work and came home in a better mood.  I am really working on not letting the anxiety of this happening at such a pivotal time effect me too much:)

So, even though I can’t focus on RUNNING this week, there are plenty of things I CAN DO to make me better and faster:

-FOCUS on NUTRITION…….work on eating the most nutritious and helpful foods for recovery that I can.

-Get lots of SLEEP!!!

-Guzzle the WATER.

-Work on my upper body and core strength because we all know I NEED IT:)

Really I don’t want pity comments and I hate complaining (there is enough of that in the world and I want you to leave my blog feeling uplifted and happier) but I am telling you all this as a little heads up of why I am taking it easy the next few days.

I will still destroy Boston:)

———————————————————————–

I was running (not literally, more like limping;) late to my BACHELOR party and so dinner was packed on the go and eaten while watching the season finale.

IMG_4696.jpg

This would be a ginormous salad with spinach, iceberg, zucchini, avocado, almonds and scrambled eggs.  It was awesome.  There was also a big old cup of chocolate milk with glutamineto go along with it.

We watched The Bachelor for 3 hours.  I am happy with who he picked but the ‘After the Rose Ceremony’ made me confused……..What did you think?!?!

Allison trimmed my hair while I was there too….THANK YOU GIRL, I LOVE IT!!!

Check back later today for an amazing cookie recipe that Allison made for us…….main ingredient peanut butter.

Girl time + peanut butter + my favorite show= an awesome night.

—————————————————————————

Bachelor fans…..Who do you think the next Bachelorette will be?

-Ashley!!!  PS Brad scares me now! Did anyone know about his twin….that was a pleasant surprise ha I love you Billy:)

What summer fruits/veggies are you looking forward to the most?

-Watermelon, cantaloupe and fresh tomatoes from my sis-in-laws garden!

How often do you get your hair cut?

-It had been way too long but usually about 10 weeks (oh wait that is way too long to, oops).

What puts you in a good mood?

-Any type of physical activity, listening to Regina Spektor, being with family/friends, watching my favorite shows, shopping, and counting my blessings:)

– Ashley for sure! Actually Tom just ran downstairs and said, "Ashley was picked for the new Bachelorette!" (Crazy guy)

Give me WATERMELON! I could eat a whole one. No lie. (No shame here!)

I rarely ever get my hair cut because it grows at a snails pace. BOO!

Exercise, Time with my hubby, cooking, baking, and hanging out with friends. Oh, and stalking my favorite bloggers aka YOU!

Way to go on letting your body heal. Funny, I just wrote a post on that yesterday :

Girl, I'm sending healing vibes/prayers your way! I am LOVING your positivity! And I have never even once thought of you as a complainer, so SHUSH! You rock!

Exercise, my fiance, my best friend, and my goddaughter put me in a good mood. Laying out by the pool in the sunshine helps alot, too! :)

I hope that your muscle feels better soon. Smart to take it easy!! You WILL kill Boston!!!

I am so looking forward to watermelon!! It is my favorite. I enjoy making fruit salad in the summer time with watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, and maybe this year I'll throw in some kiwi and banana! mmmm!!

I am notoriously bad about getting my haircut regularly. I have an appt coming up in April though and I just got it done in February so that's pretty good for me.

Lots of things put me in a good mood: A sunny day, my family, going to the beach, hanging out with friends

Reply

That sucks, I am sorry your injuried, put the bike on the trainer and spin in the easiest gear you have, it helps with quad injuries

Reply

Healing vibes coming your way! Good luck in Boston!

Not so much a Bachelor fan, I will catch it every now and then when nothing else is on.

I can't wait for watermelon!

I'm so bad when it comes to haircuts. I just had my haircut for the first since JULY 2010!!!

Fun music or my cats always put me in a good mood.

Wishing you a super speedy recovery! I know you'll be back out there in no time! :)
Not sure if you have ever used Kinesio tape but it worked wonders on my torn calf!
Cant wait for summer! I love watermelon and tomatoes too. I eat tomatoes like apples.
Ummm I should get my hair cut ever 8 weeks but I am super lazy and go every 12-16 weeks. Whoops!
Exercise puts me in a good mood too. That and watching Bravo and snuggling with my cute puppy!

Reply

YES! I'm so glad you're not discouraged about it. The "DNF" is no big deal on this run because you're still cross training and kicking Boston butt!

Sorry to hear about the quad injury! Stay positive, 'cause you'll bounce back quick!!

I don't watch the Bachelor, but my fav. summer fruits are raspberries! and watermelon.

I don't get my haircut as much as I should… when it gets super split-endy, I just wear it up all the time. Aka right now.

Baking/cooking with my hubby or friends or running with friends makes me happy!

Reply

Glad you're playing things safe with the injury, you totally are going to wreck boston!

I'm intrigued by your scrambled eggs in salad. I'm not a huge fan of salads, but that might jazz it up enough for me.

I get my hair cut when it becomes unmanagable, that's usually like every two months.

I can't wait for this recipe. Peanut butter cookies are heaven.

You're a fighter and I love that about you! Loving your attitude about everything… no matter what comes your way! You're awesome and there's no doubt in my mind you will kick some BOSTON bootie!!
Feel better darling :)

Oh no girl! We can be virtual cross training buddies! Have you tried the Arctrainer? That was my favorite and it doesn't even hurt your calves!

You are my hero and will get through this. Eat lots of chocolate and pancakes-I hear that always grows new muscles real quick.

No pitty, just some awesomeness to you! I know you are so smart and in the right state of mind that this is nothing but a bump in the road. You've got it!!! ((hugs))

What summer fruits/veggies are you looking forward to the most?

Would you believe that we have a spreadsheet detailing all the veggies we're growing this year? Hehe. LOVE all veggies. :)

Hair-cut? Hmmm…I am TERRIBLE. I trim my own every once in awhile and then out of nowhere I'll go get it whacked off. I'm trying to grow it out so I'll start trimming more frequently. (maybe)

Good mood? Friends, family, love, music, gardening, laughter, children and BABIES. :)

AH totally forgot to wathc the after ceremony! OKAY ON THAT NOW!!!
LOVE YOUR SALAD- im eating a monster one too right now :D :D hair cut? umm twice a year… nice i know

YAY for positivity!! You are the BEST you know that?! And we are SHORTS BUDDIES too, which should totally make you as happy as I am!! ;)

LOVE YOU YOU GORGEOUS GIRL:)

I thought Brad and Em seemed awkward – they don't seem to communicate very well in my humble opinion. I don't see it lasting – not to be a pessimist.

Good attitude about the injury!! You are smart to know when to back off. Thought you were holding a beer in that picture at first.

Reply

After The Final Rose confused me, too! I kind of wish that Brad had picked Chantel, because I feel like Emily deserves better. If Brad has a temper (like she said), sweet Emily better head for the hills! Good for her for taking things slow!

Reply

Good job on focusing on what you CAN do!!

Mom's garden tomatoes are what I look forward to every summer. Also sweet canteloupe. I'm always on the lookout for that perfect one! Fresh strawberries for strawberry shortcake – yum!

Reply

Your attitude about the injury is awesome, I have a feeling you'll heal in no time!

I was more than pleasantly surprised about his twin! I had a feeling he'd pick Emily but I was more than surprised watching the After the Rose. He seemed soooo into her, almost like he needed to make up for things while she just seemed so insecure about it all. It was kind of sad. I also thought he was a bit jerky to Chantel. I could definitely see Ashley as the next Bachelorette.

When it comes to haircuts I have a bad habit of getting one, loving it and then waiting 4-6 months before getting another. I just got one so it'll be next Winter before I get another :)

Reply

Good for you for being smart!!

I never get my hair cut. It's terrible :-) A couple times a year…..

Reply

Well that stinks. You are so smart about injuries though that I KNOW you'll take care of it and will be right back! Have you ever tried kineseo tape? I think it really works and would be worth a shot!
I wish you could come and lift with me! We could torture each other!
I can't wait for fresh tomatoes! Nothing tastes quite as good.
And friends, music, movies, babies, and little kid's laughter puts me in a good mood. And your posts do as well!

Reply

Good thing you were smart & decided not to push through it. You can't get hurt before you rock Boston!
I'm looking forward to strawberries & blueberries. Basically all the juicy, sweet berries! Being outside & active always puts me in a good mood. It's hard to be in a bad mood when I'm surrounded by friends & family and in the sunshine.

Reply

I hope you get to feeling better soon!

I used to cut my hair every 8 weeks, but now it's more like every 4 months. And this last time I actually cut it myself. Yes, I'm kind of lazy. And cheap.

Reply

You're going to heal super fast and then kick butt at Boston, I just know it!

I tend to go 3-4 months without cutting my hair. Bad, I know. But I only cut it when I go home because I don't have another hairdresser that I trust to cut my hair!

To get happy I watch something good on TV, listen to my favorite music, go to the bookstore, or go for a run.

Reply

definately ashley!

i cut my hair once a year… too poor to do it any more than that!

counting down the days till utah peaches are in season… i buy them by the bushel!

and i CANT BELIEVE BOSTON IS NEXT MONTH!!!! I watch it online every year and I cannot believe you are going to be in it… my father in law works with sports for a TV station in Boston, so if you need a meal or want a TV spot maybe he can hook you up :) http://www.thebostonchannel.com/wcvbnewsteam/282826/detail.html

Strawberries… LOVE THEM FRESH!

Now, onto the injury. I live in Cleveland, Ohio… we know snow haha. Last year had shin splints for 3 weeks, I couldn't walk normally without wanting to scream. From running on snow.

I never run on snow now. EVER. It is bad news bears. Keep positive!

My wife cuts my hair. So when I don't piss her off, that's when I get hair cuts haha!

Hey lady! I love your positive attitude about your little blip (no reason to call it an injury, right?) I'm in the same boat, with a marathon coming up on April 9, and I have a niggling knee thing that won't go away! Can we just send positive vibes to each other until our respective race days? kthanks! ;)

Ummm you will def still destroy Boston! Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

The after-the-rose thing made me feel kinda bad for being on team Emily. I was so sad for Chantal.

I do hope things with Emily and Brad work out…but it was super weird.

Reply

I love your posts! You have the best attitude and full of spunk. Watch out Boston! RE: Bachelor. I was in total shock that he did not pick Chantel. I liked Emily but I dont think they are a good fit…and I really did not see that she connected to him. Esp with the post show. She seemed threatened by his behavior with the other girls. Uber weird vibes and I still think chantel was a better fit for him.

Reply

The after the rose show made me sad. She seemed so insecure and I loved her on the show. I hate that she didn't like the way she was portrayed on the show because I think that was why so many people loved her was because she was sweet and genuine and poised. Last night she kind of seemed opposite of that! They are ridiculously gorgeous together but they did not seem very happy so I'm not sure they will make it. Also, shantel's questions to brad bothered me if she is really happy in a new relationship.

I hope you heal quickly! Love following your adventures and aspire to eat as much candy as you someday!

you are definitely still going to ROCK boston. So smart of you to listen to your body and take a break…I can learn from you. This post made me feel encouraged though because those (positive mindset, eat healthy, drink water, strength train, etc) are some of the things I have been trying to work on throughout my injury so that I am not just "giving up" or feeling hopeless. I know you will recover quickly!!

I am so excited for all fruits and vegetables this summer…I love berries and fresh green pepper :)

The bachelor made me SO happy but the after the rose ceremony was definitely confusing. I really hope it works out for them!

Get better quick, I am sending good thoughts your way!

I love ALL summer produce- melon and berries especially, no discrimination!

and considering I don't wash/even brush my hair all that often(how lazy am I ha?) cutting is once evey 6 months or so…

Reply

OH man I was sooo happy last night! And I really think the person he picked (as not to spoil it for anyone) is being smart and she is just so real. Life isn't freaking roses and the last thing they need to do is to jump into something so quickly because of the fairytale they found in South Africa…but I wanted to just shake her and say just kiss and make up and I was so glad when they put the ring on her finger! It was bugging me all night!

Reply

I send you positive energy! FYI- I injured my back a few weeks before Boston last year and did not run much in the weeks leading up to the race,…. and PRed…. it happened to one of my friend's as well and she ran sub 3!

you WILL still crush boston. that is all.

Ok, I knew when he got upset with Emily on their final night together that something was odd with him! He kept smiling saying that he was getting mad. Red flag! When she said temper I knew it! He said that he let Michelle go because their relationship would have been volatile, I think it's the same with Emily. She won't open up, she's a whole lot younger than him and he's set in his ways. I really want them to make it but don't know that they will. :(

Sorry about your leg. Rest, rest, rest! I'm the queen rest bee! Just blame the Moon, it's getting too close to Earth!

I changed a lot of things about my run yesterday too. My garmin wouldn't turn on. Then I had winds blowing against me both out and back. Finally, I really pushed it in Pump on Sunday and my legs did not like me so I slowed way down on the last up hill. I still had a great run though.
Keep up the good work! You'll so totally ROCK Boston!

oh my gosh, i cut my hair so infrequently too. but i want it to grow!

not sure if you've already posted on this, but what does glutamine do exactly? do you find it helps with recovery? i am really trying to be good with nutrition, and i'm willing to try anything that helps with my running.

I love how positive you are Janae. You are so awesome to keep your head up, and play it smart! I love how you are focusing on the good, and not the negative. You will be back to your normal ASAP! You are going to kill Boston. I just know it!

I used to get my hair cut about every 6-8 weeks because it was short and needed lots of maintenance. But now that I'm growing it out I go about 8-10. :)

I am SO pumped for fresh fruits and veggies!! Bring on the watermelon!!

good for you for thinking optimistically. focus on all those things you CAN'T focus on when you're running. and you're so smart to wait until you have zero pain! I'm not as strong as you! :)

Hope you heal up quickly! I've pulled both groin muscles before and it sucks. I feel your pain!

I think Ashley should be the next Bachelorette too. I think Brad and Emily need to work on their individual issues. It's really sad all that happened in the last couple months.

Looking forward to peaches. Lots and lots of peaches!

I cut my hair when I get really bored or there are too many split ends.

Your blog seriously puts me in a great mood! Running, horses, and being with my friends also does it to.

Stay positive, rest those legs and you will come back better than ever!!! I think Brad the Bachelor is a giant TOOL. I thought he was horrible last night and now i'm not so sure Emily is the lucky one. I don't think they will stay together at all. I heard that Ashley H. (the dentist) will be the new bachelorette. For some reason i'm hooked on this really bad reality TV and can't wait for the next season!!!

Do you watch The Bachelor Pad? It was on last summer and was really skanky and bad, but I watched it. It's coming back this summer! Woohoo!!

Reply

Ok, I'll stay away from pity comments but BOO on your quad!

You have the right approach–treat it gently, be good to your body with food (eat some stuff w/ anti-inflammatory properties–cherries!) and rest. You'll get there and you will kick Boston's ass!

Oh, and I get my hair cut every six weeks or it looks horrible!

I'll be sending lots of healing thoughts towards your stubborn little quad. Enjoy all the water-guzzling, 6-pack-getting, muscle-making, and sleeping that comes with it! :)

heal fast girlie!! I second the comment about easy spinning on the bike trainer to keep your legs loose.

I haven't got a haircut since before my wedding in September…. is that bad? I was trying to grow it out but now I feel like it must look completely horrible!!

I knew Brad would pick Emily, since he was so gaga over her but I was completely weirded out by the last hour of the show last night. What was up with them??!! They seemed like they were being completely unnatural and ackward with eachother. Anywho… Yay for Ashley and her sparkling teeth!

Ugh–So sorry your quad was barking at you!! Sendng you positive healing vibes and prayers, of course.

I am currently benched from a "I ran too far in snow" injury – although my pain is a tendon in my foot. It sucks because you feel so hardcore running in snow and then BAM, you are hurt. Stupid snow…and I live in WI, I'm used to running in snow, just not 13 miles!

Listen to your body, rest, cross train like a crazy person, and stay positive. You are amazingly fit…don't let your mind injury your body more!

I can.not.wait for fresh strawberries! Hurry up summer!

Working out and food put me in a good mood!!! :-)

A couple things –

1. YES you will CRUSH Boston! Its going to be great!

2. Rest is a good thing and your body probably needs this. Sleeping is so important (a lot of recovery takes place when your body is sleeping so get extra) and make sure you keep packing in all those great salads!!

Can't wait for summer for fresh strawberries, basil, tomatoes, corn and farmers markets! :)

I'm sorry to hear about your injury! I'm sure with a bit of extra rest, you'll be back to normal in no time and ready to smash all of your goals in Boston!

Reply

I don't think you actually tore a muscle because if you had, it would have started hurting the instant you tore it.

You probably did pull your quad muscle–possibly from running downhill too much.

Anyway, definitely follow the RICE approach: rest (or "active" rest, which can be cross-training), ice, compression (although I don't think this is necessary for your situation), and elevation. I would also advice taking ibuprofen to reduce swelling.

Girl, you are going to DO AWESOME AT BOSTON! I hope you feel 100% better REALLY soon! :) I too hope and think the next bachelorette will be Ashley!! :)

ASHLEY i totally knew she was going to be the next bachelorette. didn't you see how much she was just BEAMING at the girls tell all episode?! it was so clear she was moving on and ready to get on with her new show (: after the rose was way confusing though.. i hope things work out :/

summer fruits = WATERMELON all. the. way.

i used to (meaning as of like a month ago) get my hair cut every two-three months but i decided (like my sister:) that i'm not going to cut it for a YEAR so that i can grow it out! i'll trim it myself though so no one dies from seeing my crazy split ends..

+ running is really what quickly puts me in the best mood when i'm having a bad day; friends + family + reading my scriptures or something always helps too (:

ps i lovelovelove your blog! and i'm pretty sure you live right by me because i think i saw you outside running when i was finishing up a run myself a couple weeks ago (CREEPY i know, forgive me!) i live in the blue mountainwood condos off of 700N!

The After the Rose ceremony made me sad. Emily seemed totatlly different…I didn't feel any love there. I doubt it will last. :(

I am impatiently awaiting cherries and white peaches in their peak to make it to markets. I live for these fruits!

Stay positive and take care of yourself. I had an issue a few weeks ago with my knee where it felt like the femur and tibia/fibula were grinding everytime my leg extended. I took a day off, and had two days of cross training and it magically healed itself. Sometimes our bodies just get a bit rusty and need a bit of RNR.

I hope your leg gets better soon!

We see Brad often when we go out. One of my friends LOVEs him. We're actually going to one of his bars on Friday during SXSW

Sweet friend! I'm so sorry you're having pain (I won't call it an injury because I'm hoping it heals ASAP)! It sounds like you have the right attitude and will do everything you can to rest and get back to 100%. Praying for a quick recovery and for you to not feel anxious about it. xoxo

I know you don't want pity comments so I won't give you any. You're blog couldn't be more uplifting and happier but remember, it's OK to reach out for support sometimes and rag a little if you need to!!! So, hope you feel better soon and you can keep your mind at peace the next few days while you pump up those arms and abs:)

I am the only person in the blogworld who doesn't watch the Bachelor. I saw Brad on it the last time and for whatever reason, he just does not do it for me one bit….ANYway…

I color my hair (roots)myself every 5 days no lie and I get a haircut/color about every 6 weeks. I'm stretching it out a bit now that it's longer.

I have a huge garden in the summer-Snow peas and canteloupe!!

You look so cute in your workout gear:) I agree with Beth! You look like you're holding a beer!

I saw Hollie's comment and completely agree with the Arctrainer. I hate crosstraining but that is one machine I ADORED while I was trying to take care of my hip. The hill workouts are the closest thing to runner's high you can get, in my opinion.

-I love ALL spring/summer fruits and veggies. I looooove fresh produce and my mom gets a TON of it. I just love how healthy my snacks become and how good I feel during the summer!

-I cut my hair like every 6 months because of college breaks and such.

-To keep positive, I've actually read your blog and other's blogs. Honestly, it's made me cope with things and feel so much better about myself. I'm not a religious person but I've learned faith in yourself is so important.

Love you, lady! Feel better :)

Good call shutting down the workout when you felt pain. I think that's the hardest thing to do as a runner!

I'm looking forward to some watermelon! Hope your feel better soon…you are so amazing I'm sure you'll be out there running your booty off in no time!

After my last haircut (in January?), I went to make another appointment – for May, and the hair cutter pleaded with me to come back sooner. Finally, we compromised and made an appointment for April.

Sending healing vibes!

It's going to heal fast… you are taking good care of it :)

I cut my own hair about once every 2 or 3 years. I get sick of it looking horrible and put it in braids and just whack it off. I am always so psyched at how great it feels (I have super thick and heavy hair) that I don't really notice how bad it looks :P

I cannot wait for PEACHES!!!!!

I love your positive attitude :). You are absolutely right about the mind body connection so I know you'll be back to normal in no time. I am guilty of having multiple fantasies of fresh produce at farmers markets. It sounds so sad but its the truth. I love FRESH strawberries, I refuse to buy them in the winter. I usually put off getting my haircut until I'm about to be in a wedding or something, my hairdresser jokes she never sees me unless I'm a bridesmaid. To stay positive, I remind myself of how lucky I am then go cuddle with my hubby or call a family member, because I am super lucky to have wonderful people in my life.

Emily was a bit odd in the after the rose ceremony. I was quickly changing my mind and wishing he chose Chantal, but too late she is already taken. Emily was not the sweet little thing we all saw on T.V. I thought she was really rude and then would lure Brad back in with looking at him and saying I love you in a really weird way. Like the one time when Chris asked if she really loved Brad and she slapped Brad's knee and said Uh, Yeah, no yea, I really do love this guy. Awkward. I think Brad felt dumb the entire time! Sad to say, but I just don't think they will work. Poor Bradely, maybe he will never find love on national T.V.

But I will not lie, his twin wasn't bad. I think he was cuter!

Not too stoked about Ms. Ashley who moves her hands WAY too much when she talks and is pretty annoying, but you best believe I will still waste precious hours of my life on that show!!!

Love you girly and get better!!

Janae! Get better "FAST!!" 'cuz "fast" is your middle name! :) You're a smart girl for taking it easy!!

Love ya and HAVE A GREAT TUESDAY!! :)

That's a major bummer, but definitely not the end of the world :) I had a similar experience recently and I was actually SO proud of myself for being able to identify that there was a problem and come up with a strategy to recover properly. Sometimes it can be really hard to know when you're genuinely sick/injured, and when you're just a bit sore/tired/lazy/whatever. I feel like I've finally got it down and it's definitely been the most valuable lesson I've learnt as a runner! Also accepting that being sore/tired/lazy are okay — and that they're as good a reason as any to take a break! Resting through those not-really-injured times is just as important in preventing future injuries. Soooo glad I finally stopped being completely OCD and just accepted that my body is not invincible and rest = awesome :D

I hope your leg heals soon! I admit I laughed when I realized your injured pace is still way faster than my normal!

I get my hair trimmed between 12-16 weeks. Way too long, but I'm poor.

Running puts me in a good mood as does rocking out to the radio in my car where no one can hear me.

JANAE!!?!? I'm so sorry you are hurt! This makes me really worried for you!
I hope you feel better. You will be better. REST!! k…promise….?? LOVE YOU! see you tomorrow!

If it ends up being Ashley, I'm not sure I'll watch. I didn't really click with her.

Anyway, my Boston training just got derailed too! I had 22 on Sun and some pain started around the end. Rest day yesterday on the schedule anyway. Today's hills though was also a DNF for me, first this year. Ugh. I'm going to follow your advice about the mental aspect of the injury. Mine's also muscle, so hopefully I'll be good to go in a few more days.

Regina Specktor rules! Love her too!

I am so excited for watermelon too!! And cherries… my parents have 2 trees in their backyard and I can't wait for all of the smoothies and pies I will be eating :-)

Also hoping your leg feels better in a hurry!!

Rest, stretch, rest, stretch and foam roll the hell out of it! Feel better soon!

oh, be careful with that leg! i had that kind of pain (if i'm thinking the same spot as yours) and ran through it, only making it worse and it still persists today, 4 years later!!! i'm sure you're gonna be fine though! you take all that gluc…whatever it's called…stuff. hahaha.

Get well soon! Sending love, hugs, and positive thoughts your way! You'll be just fine, lady! :)

hang in there! you'll be back at it sooner than later! Love your attitude. I was totally bummed by the ATFR show. Emily is not into him and HE is so in love with her. Not sure I liked her attitude at all last night.

Omgosh so much I want to say about the Bachelor…how to keep it short…alright- #1 SO HAPPY he chose Emily. Most precious proposal (she bending down and kissing him, him holding her afterwords…OH. MY. GOSH) #2- Biggest letdown ever from THRILLED about the proposal to BUMMED about how they're doing now. Ugh. I seriously went to bed depressed. #3- Was Emily not a totally different person on "After the Final Rose"? I thought it was kind of bittersweet. More personality…but so much less…um, loving.

And lastly, yes bc I'm obsessed I already knew Chad existed and can I just say…Better version of Brad? Oh, yes. Hahaha favorite part of your post "ha I love you Billy". Lol perfect.

OH NO!!! I just saw this, that is SO upsetting!!!!!!!! I hope you are on the mend and you are so smart to be so good about this. I know it's hard but keep your chin up and you will heal in NO TIME!! xoxo!

I'm commenting late because I've apparently been in a hole for a week … or so. I remember Brad being a twin from the last time he was on the show. I'm a fraternal twin, so maybe I'm biased when I say "TWINS FREAKIN' ROCK YOUR SOCKS!" like I said, possible bias there.

I just watched ATFR and was sad. They're probably not gunna make it. SHe shouldn't have watched the show! Come on now! It'd be like watching you're husband;s past relationships on video. Is that really something they haven't figured out yet???? I should be the Boss. Of everyone. Period.

OK, i Finally watched the Bachelor finale.

Confusing, yes!!!

First of all, I thought the rose ceremony showed such an ugly side of both Brad and Emily. She was way less graceful and poised than she had presented herself on the show…she was kind of bratty and dare I say bitchy? I mean, she needs to give the poor guy some slack…he was hired to be THE BACHELOR, he couldn't have bored the viewers by not at least trying to date other girls.

like one of your commenters above, I also thought Brad was mean (and lying) to Chantal. Of course he was into her! He picked Emily because his poor family pressured him too, and because now he'll have the most amazing arm candy for the rest of his life. She is just stunning.

Ok, just had to share. byby

Oh, and I'm glad he chose Emily but Ashley is just too weird for me…something about her. This season wasn't my favorite.
