Refueling with my favorites and what the heck is Beta-Alanine.

Thanks everyone for your sweet comments yesterday on my crazy treadmill run.  I want to go into Boston with the mentality that 26.2 miles is just like a normal run so that when it comes race time I can get in the speed and try to keep up with Kara!!!

To answer the three most common questions……
1-Yes, I probably do have something wrong with my brain wiring but that is okay because I like it like that. Ignorance is bliss.
2- My gym’s TV’s are sweet, you can just plug your ipod into the TV and play whatever you have on the TV from your ipod…..seriously, amazing.  One more reason for you to all move to P-Town, Utah and hang out with me everyday.
2-Beta-Alanine is the supplement that I take before runs that are 20 miles and longer.  I AM NOT A DOC, NUTRITIONIST or SMART…..heck, I ran a marathon on a treadmill and I got 11 points lower than Billy on the ACT so please consult a doctor before you take any supplement etc.  Side effects include skin tingling but they are harmless and will stop with continued use.
IMG_3743.jpg
I don’t know if it is the placebo effect or not but to me I feel like they help me run longer and stronger.  They supposedly decrease the amount of hydrogen buildup in your muscles which is what causes your muscles to get tired.  Maybe Billy just refills the bottle with sugar pills when I run out and I just really believe they work and so they do.
———————————————————————————————
On to the good stuff…..MLK Day rocks.
We first went to the Runners Corner, my favorite store in Utah.  I am part of Runners Corners Racing Team and I got to pick up my racing jersey’s:)  Half-marathon is in my horizon…I just need to pick which one first.  It will be a great Boston Training run.
IMG_3736.JPG
We talked with my coach for over an hour and I was on the tip of my chair the whole time so excited to learn more about running.  Have I told you he won the St. George marathon before?!?!  Yeah, he is my idol.
I will do a post this week about the main things I learned from talking to him but chocolate chips and The Bachelor are calling my name so I don’t have time tonight. Priorities people.  I need to get my drama from somewhere because I don’t have any in my life so I have to watch 10 emotional/catty woman fight over some creepy guy.
IMG_3731.JPG
After the Runner’s Corner we met up with our good ol’ buddies at the CAFE RIO.  The guy on the right run’s a 4:20 minute mile and a 2:30 marathon. We are going to go do a trail-run soon, he is going to kick my trash:)
WARNING WARNING:  TREADMILL RUNNING CAUSES SEVERE ALBINONESS.  It is a risk I am willing to take but the side effects ain’t pretty folks.
IMG_3732.JPG
I got the usual chicken salad and ate every last bite and finished off Billy’s too.  Their guac was on steroids today and I could have drank it.
IMG_3741.JPG
You know that you have overstayed your welcome when you are still in the restaurant chatting and you get hungry again…seriously, I had to call it quits because I was hungry and had to go home and have more food.  I made my MOZARELLA and PEAR PANINI, a wrap and lots of broccoli.  There has also been too much candy to count and a chocolate chip bag to be finished off.  I can hear it from the kitchen….Janae, I love you please come hang out with me, maybe that is Billy saying that.  Which one should I choose?  Chocolate or husband?
Is it weird to tell you guys that I REALLY LOVE YOU.  Because I do and hopefully that doesn’t creep you out.  I am loving the bonds we are forming:)  Sorry, I had to get cheesy at least once today….it wouldn’t be hungryrunnergirlish if I didn’t.
GO WISH BESSBEFIT A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
——————————————————————————————————-
Do you take any supplements and what do they do?  What vitamins do you take?
-Just Beta-Alanine but I take a multivitamin, calcium and glucosomine vitamins.
What is your next race?
-Coach talked me into doing a half before Boston….now just trying to figure out which one.
Do you stay at restaurants for a while and talk or are you quick?
-At restaurants with a waiter/waitress I try not to stay too long because I know they want to get more tables (hello, I was a waitress for six years) but at places like Cafe Rio I could sit and talk for hours!!
If you could only choose one salad topping for the rest of your life what would it be?
-Sorry, I have to do two…guac and pico. I hate that I always cheat on my own questions.

You are always so positive-love you and your blog and don't even know you. Hope that's not creepy or weird…

I take multi-vitamin, glucosaminr and acidophilus.

I can't believe you ran a marathon on a treadmill. You are nuts and I like it. I only take calcium in terms of supplements, and my next race is a half on Saturday, woohoo! I'm excited for your race in Boston and to see how you keep up with Kara :)

Reply

You're not creepy at all.. either that or I'm just as creepy because I love you, too!

Reply

Giiiirl I love you!! Slash I think we have the same sweet machines at my gym, I love them and they make me feel super technologically smart.

Slash I'm not even a legal adult quite yet but I want to run a half…crazy craze? Maybe.

I take a multivitamin, vitamins D + B + C, DHA, and probiotics. Oh lawd, that makes me look like I am a pill-poppin FIEND.

Slash I can so relate, I always get food at a restaurant and then talk for so long I get starvin marvin. Your panini sounds genius, I ought to test that one out!:)

Oh, and I would be guac and hummus. Sorry, I cheated too!;)

Reply

I also take magnesium/calcium. I read up on beta alanine because I am going to keep trying it. I have a 20 scheduled for next week so hopefully then? I read that it also dilates your blood vessels allowing your body to use more oxygen which = more endurance, speed etc. Sounds amazing!

I'm so hungry right now- that salad looks fantastic!
i'm horrible at taking vitamins. I might have to work on that…
my next race is my first 1/2, on Feb 20 in super warm NH. (NOOOOTTTTT!!)
Ww all love you too and don't think you're creepy. :-)

Reply

If I can remember… a multivitamin. Maybe that means I should take Ginko Biloba too.

My plan is a 10k in preparation for my first half marathon in April. Haven't decided which race — there aren't many around here in the winter.

Reply

I just take a regular one-a-day vitamin….
I LOVE your blog so much!!!! =D
I love to put salsa on my salads….especially peach salsa!

Reply

I normally take B12 (for the energy), folic acid (I hear that stuff is good for you), and Omega 3 (the fatty acid found in fish–It increases mood). Those are my power three. I feel like a million bucks if I remember to take them every day.

I don't race. Maybe some day, but not right now.

Oh wow, salad topping…That's a really hard question. Really hard. I never use salad dressing…Just lemon juice. It tastes fresher that way and I love sour things. I L-O-V-E black beans in my salad…And boiled eggs. Gah, now I want salad and it's 8:30 in the morning!

Reply

Oh, and MY albino-ness has you beat! I went to the grocery store make-up free the other morning and a big guy stopped me and said, "Aww, you poor thing…Sinuses?" Yes, I am so pale that if I don't wear make-up I look sick.

Reply

Oh my gosh I was already loving this post and was laughing out loud and then you even gave me a shout out for my birthday! You seriously rock.
I'd also love to try the guac on steroids because it sounds amazing. I watched the Bachelor last night too…I gotta tell you…that Michelle girl is kinda psycho…oh how easily I am entertained :) Thanks again for the shoutout, you made my birthday!! :)

Reply

oh my, so many questions! i take a flintstones vitamin every day. my next race is a 5K as part of my 1/2M training and i am going to beat it down with my legs. and i might have spent 4 hours in a restaurant last night eating pizza and drinking wine, you should have been there, we were all sweaty dirty runners!

Reply

is your coach Hawk??? I love Runner's Corner!

I just asked the same salad question on my blog yesterday! I would put avocado on a salad every.single.day if I could afford it.

Supplements, woah, here we go: calcium + Vitamin D, fish oil, multivitamin, fruit & vegetable phytoblends, B12 occasionally.

Reply

I take glucosamine and a multi-vitamin every day. I used to take iron supplements, but they made me gag so I found it was much easier to just eat spinach instead:)

Races, hmm… I have a 5k this weekend, 1/2 in 3 weeks a 15k and half 2 weeks after that, 15k 2 weeks later, half the next weekend, and the next weekend….yeah I have a racing problem! But one it hits the end of April in Florida the races dry up since it becomes perma-90* every day!

Take advantage while I can!

Reply

Don't worry, we love you too :) LOL! I just take a multi vitamin. My next race is a 5 miler on February 12th!! My girlfriends and I have been known to stay at a restaurant for 3+ hours :) Soo fun!

Reply

So I've had you on my google reader for a few months but last night I spent a long portion of my night reading over you're past posts!!

You have such awesome tips and you're very inspiring! I don't want to make you have to repeat yourself if you've already addressed it but, how long have you been running for? How did you get started?

As a fellow Utahan, I look forward to seeing more updates!! (I'm down in Moab, but I still count right?) Way to go on your treadmill marathon! If you can do that, you can do anything!

Reply

haha we love you too, Janae, don't worry!

I take a multi-vitamin, Vitamin C and Vitamin D. I've found that taking the Vitamin D makes me feel happier! YAY!

My next race is the half marathon I have on May 1. I am looking forward to it and hopefully beating my previous time!

As long as I have something to drink in a restaurant I'll stay and hang out for a while but if I'm done with everything, I leave.

As for salad… I still have to put ranch on it to eat it!!

Reply

multi pack and an omega for vitamins. I can tell when I don't take them. Next race is a 10K (have to decide which one) in prep for a half marathon in June.

favorite topping is chick peas :)

Reply

I love how you went out to eat, went home, and ate more. THat's my girl!

Reply

I love that you ran a marathon on the treadmill… and I'm so jealous of your gym! At the Y where I go, they are pretty strict on time limits and the treadmills are really beat up, too. I should probably change gyms, but the extra benefits (free babysitting? yes, please!) keep me coming back.

I currently only take my prenatals and my next race isn't until my marathon in November… gotta get this baby born first! And I LOVE avocado on my salads. Yum.

Reply

your photos of cafe rio are killing me. i may need to book a trip back to ut just to eat there!

Reply

Of course you were hungry again girl! You just ran a marathon! On a treadmill no less! You are awesome! I like that your gym has plugs for your i pod. Very cool.
I take prenatal vitamins. Ogden Marathon is my next race. I clear out of restaurants like you if there's waiters but hang around at places like Old Grist Mill forever. If the company's good, that is. And salad topping? that would have to be cucumber. (avocado feels left out.)

Reply

That food looks SOOOO good! No vitamins for me – probably should take some though . . .

My next race is Princess in Feb.

We stay at restaurants forever, until they push us out!

Reply

Now I am starving. :)

Question: What does someone need to do to be considered an elite runner? I'm guessing you have to finish a marathon in a certain time? Just really curious because I think that's what your goal is. Fill me in girl!

I love you too! :)

Reply

I take Vitamin C, D (because I'm in Chicago), B (for my nails) and a calcium supplement. I even have a pill box. I'm the oldest 21-year-old ever.

Reply

Mmmm…that salad looks so good!!

-I take a multivitamin but that's it.
-The length of time I stay at a restaurant depends on who I'm with..haha
-My next race is a local 5k in March, but my biggie is my first half in May.
-Fav salad topping…pickles (no contest!)

Reply

Hmmm, let's see, I take a multivitamin and mix some protein powder into my shakes when I have them for breakfast.

My next race is a half marathon at the Cowtown in Fort Worth, Texas. Not sure if I want to try and go all out again or push my friend to get a better time for her…

One salad topping??? That's a hard one but I think I'd have to go with my homeade dressing.

As for restaurants, we stay and talk, after you leave what else is there to go do?

Reply

Not creepy at all. ;)

I take a daily vitamin D and when I think of it, I pop a Omega 3 supplement. I hate fish so I need to get them where I can.

Salad toppings – salsa is yummy with just a small dollop of sour cream.

Reply

We love you, too!! My next race is March 27th. I'm excited! I love to stay at restaurants and talk for a long time. It means you are with good company. :) Avocado on my salads is crucial. I also love a big glob of hummus. And usually something crunchy, too.

Reply

I am actually in shock. Not just because of your amazing treadmill marathon, but because you are going to run with a guy who runs 4.20 min/miles. Absolutely insane!!!

I take a mulitvitamin+calcium+Omegas :) My next race is a 5k trial, where I have to run sub 20 to get in! Um…sure that'll happen…! And halves later this year too :)

Much as I love guac, I have to say hummus. I could live of hummus. Well, chocolate and hummus. Hmmm, does chocolate hummus exist? THAT would be perfection! :D

Reply

I am a on and off multi-vit taker. I would take more if I felt like I knew what I was doing …

Next race, (second race EVER), 1/2 mara first week in March. Not sure about the quality of my training plan, but enjoying the process.

Do I linger in restaurants? … well, that would depend on whether my kids are with me.

Salad topping … I would surely choose candied pecans, or mandarin oranges, or sesame seeds, hmmm …. or bleu cheese.

Reply

i creepily love you too… will you be my real life friend on facebook? i want to run with you someday…. :)

Reply

My salads would ALWAYS have chickpeas on them! I could eat chickpeas with everything, actually. I have a problem, I know. They are SO good!! And by the way, I think you are a goddess that you ran THAT FAR on the treadmill when I can barely punch out 4 MILES!?!?!?! Holy cow – can we say NO MORE COMPLAINING FOR ME?! You are a superstar! Which is WHY, (well that, among other things like you are a totally awesome friend) I am giving you the Stylish Blogger Award! http://www.wordstorunby.com/2011/01/and-award-goes-to.html

Have fun trail running! Running on trails always makes me happy and enjoy my runs so much more. I don't take any vitamins, but I'm going to start taking iron & vitamin D because my iron levels are always low when I try to give blood. I choose GUAC – I could eat it on anything, everyday, all the time.

Reply

Seriously…you are such a rockstar! I can't get over how impressed I am with you! As a runner and as a person! I got rid of cable but I'm HATING that I'm missing The Bachelor this season. I'm going to have to find a way to get it back into my life. :)

No supplements right now. I can chat away for HOURS and have definitely gotten kicked out of my fair share of closing down restaurants. And I'm going to go with avocados. :)

Reply

OMG I love you too!!!! I do not take supplements. I've never been great at taking things consistently and I hear you have to take vitamins and stuff for 30 days to see the benefits.

I like you used to waistress so I like to eat and go. I know tips is where the money is at, so if you can turn over those tables that's the goal.

I am addicted to Crasins. LOOOOVE them.

Oh I am doing the warrior dash in May. I am a terrible runner so maybe a few 5k's this year. I dreamed I did them all outside on a treadmill last night.

Hello Janae,

I hope this comment post!! (fingers crossed :) )

I just want to tell you that I'm a big fan of yours!! I've been reading your blog for a few months now and I think that you have such an awesome spirit. I mean that whole-heartedly!! You're such an inspiration to me in my running. You're sooo fast and I know that you're running career is just beginning. I hope you get featured in "women's running" magazine!! Watch out Kara and Shalane!!

I take a multi-vitamin, flax oil, fish oil, and a b-50. But, not daily maybe 3x a week. I'm trying to stay more consistent!

I love avocado and extra pickles!! Yummmmm!!!!

Love You Janae and I look forward to hearing about your training with your new coach!! :) :)

Yeaaa it posted!!!! :) :)

You are too sweet! I LOVE reading your blog =)

I'm debating signing up for a half in June, hmmmmm.

I take a GNC vita-pack and an iron pill. I have two small kids and very long days…I need my vitamins!

Next race is the Mercedes half marathon on Feb 13!

I eat quick, so I am usually sitting around chatting for a while after I finish. This weekend at dinner I said I was so stuffed, and my husband said that I should just sit there another 30 minutes because I'd be ready for another meal then and could order something to take home. He wasn't being mean or anything. I'm just hungry all the time. You know how it is.

My fave salad topping is cheese. I like cheese on everything. Oh, I tried the avocado on my egg sandwich and loved it!

Reply

I'm just saying… you should probably sign up for the Tobacco Road Half Marathon on March 20th with me. So what that it is in Raleigh, NC? It's on the American Tobacco Trail and it's gonna be sweeeeet. Plus you can stay with me and we can go eat Marmalade Skies together. K great! :)

Where do you buy your beta-alenine?

I take a daily multi-vitamin and biotin (I'm trying to grow my hair out).

My next race is Rodeo Run 5k on February 26th in Houston. It's my 2nd race…ever.

I tend to stay and talk if I'm meeting people. It also depends on where I'm seated (chair vs. booth… booth I tend to get comfy and stay longer).

Reply

Seriously.. you are such an inspiration. How do you not get bored on treadmill.. I end up running intervals instead of a steady paced run.

Reply

Thta is os funny. My hubby always asks me why I watch all these drama filled shows. My answer is always "I don't have any drama in my life, so I have to get it elsewhere". Hilarious! Great minds think alike!

Reply

Love your style, and your hair!
I can't believe you ran a marathon on the treadmill, that's intense…I was excited when I got up to running 4 consecutive miles last year ;) haha

Reply

I've been lurking on your blog long enough now that I feel like I should say hi and tell you how much I've enjoyed reading!

You do a good job of reminding me that running is supposed to be FUN! (Since I'm sort of new to running and my knees are still recovering from my first half, I need lots of reminders!)

Reply

I may give the beta-alenine a try!

I try to remember to take my multi vitamin but I'm so bad at remembering. I also try to remember to take glucosamine.

My next bit race will be the Idaho Potato Marathon in May. I might run a 5k before that tho :)

I like to stay at restaurants if its a good atomosphere and the company I'm with wants to talk forever like me.

Hmm the salad topping would probably have to be cucumber… i heart cucumber!

Reply

I take this vitamin "pack" that's basically a multi; has a ton of stuff you need, calcium, fish oil… occasionally I'll take a probiotic.

So far I'm not signed up for any races. Still trying to get my nerve to sign up for the marathon on April 30.

Salad topping… uum, that's a good question. To be honest, probably croutons! Or feta… or parmesan…

I don't sit at restaurants and talk. Usually it's in and out.

And I think I'm going to move to Utah, join your gym, and you can turn me into a running machine.

Reply

I take a 'Pure Endurance' pill that is similar to your BA! I swear by it too!!!

Maybe your training coach could get you into Moab 1/2 – it's gorgeous in March!!!

And unfortunately, I too, have been sucked into the Bachelor. It's DVR'ed right now but can't wait to see what the big drama was last night!

Reply

I usually am pretty quick in restaurants, but eating with my grandparents is a whole other story. We have literally sat in restaurants for hours!

Reply

Oh my goodness, you are making me want guacamole and some quality time with The Bachelor!

The only supplements I take regularly are a multi-vitamin and Calcium.

Ahhhh it's letting me comment!!!! Yayyyy! Thanks for adding the name/url option Janae!!

NOT NICE! You're not allowed to show anymore Cafe Rio because I start to crave it and the closest one is 4 hours away. Their pork salad is calling me.
1-calcium, vit D o

I adore your blog, I seriously read it every morning as soon as I can. It makes me eat healthier AND I don't beat myself up when I go to McDonalds and get that ice cream cone, because I know someone else just did too!
Only problem is…I'm not to running 26.2 miles yet. You go girl! That is seriously amazing!
I am having all sorts of knee issues with my running, and not even sure what to do now, or where to start. So for the month I'm lifting weights and doing cross training and less running, hoping to get stronger, but I'm not sure if its working.
Any tips for me for going from 6 miles to 26 miles with knee issues?
Thanks chick!

Salad topping: Mild salsa.

No races planned. Yet.

Also – I just want to say that I love watching drama tv for the same reason as you – I have no drama in my life, so watching it on tv gives me my fill.

Reply

I really want that salad, may have to go on a mission to make that one soon.

I take a Vitamin D supplement, but that's because I live in Seattle and we are in the rainy months now.

Also I love your scarf!

Reply

I don't take much for supplements because I try to stick more natural with my nutrition. I use chia seeds to oatmeal and smoothies. When wet, they expand to 10 times their size and help keep you hydrated. I am trying one thing right now and will post some info on it soon – so stay tuned.

My next race isn't until May 21st. It is a 25K trail race but I will be training through it since it is a build to a 50K in July.

Reply

Do you take any supplements and what do they do? What vitamins do you take?
–None. I have a crapton of vitamins I SHOULD be taking. But I'm laaaazy.

What is your next race?
–Ventura half marathon. It was my half PR last year, and I'd like to PR again.

Do you stay at restaurants for a while and talk or are you quick?
–It depends on the company. My first date with my husband, we closed out the restaurant, then talked for another hour in the parking lot.

If you could only choose one salad topping for the rest of your life what would it be?
–balsamic vinegar. YUM.

Reply

Next race is 3M half next weekend

1 salad topping? hmmm. probably guac or avocado straight up.

I take a multi-vitamin, fish oil, and a probiotic. I used to take CLA for yrs, but not sure it did much.

I'm intruiged by the BA. I may have to look into it.

You are a rock star!! I'm sure the beta-a helps some, but I think you are genetically gifted–You were born to run!

I take calcium and fish oil (heart health, reduce inflammation).

as a former waitress, I try to be cognizant about hogging the table. Gotta make the tips! :)

AGREE: piles of pico! And, sliced almonds! :)

I take calcium, vit D, and just started taking biotin. I used to have super long hair, got it chopped up to my shoulders, and now I want it back! Since biotin is for hair, skin, and nails, Im hoping it speeds up the process!!

Favorite salad topping: hummus. Two years ago my answer would have been bbq sauce. I used to be obsessed. Gross and weird eh?

I feel like a creeper because I don't even have my own blog, but I looooove yours!!

WHat do you think about Michelle on The Bachelor? I love a good crazy. She is making for 2 hours of priceless television! I want to check our the beta analine sounds interesting.

I take a New Chapter Organics Woman's 1 a day multi vitamin daily. I also take 4 motrin before any long run (long for me being anything over 8 probably).

If a meal out is with friends or my husband it is a long night..but breakfast with my kids is in and out, trying not to get indigestion. Our favorite place to go, just my husband and I, is a hole in the wall place that serves all fresh fish caught that day and you can sit at the bar and lokinto the line and watch the guys cook and chit chat with them..our favorite for sure!

I like some good artichokes and rotisserie shredded chicken!
I also take metasalts or endurolytes on long runs.

My next race is miami ing marathon on the 30th of this month followed by couple 5k's a 10 k and then San Diego RNR on June 5th.

I wanna be just like you when I grow up. Ok, so I guess it's a little late since I'm already an adult, but dang! You are awesome.

I take a multivitamin, biotin (I'm trying to make my hair grow really fast so I can get back to my natural color), fish oil, and I have to take an anti-malaria antibiotic. Africa, ya know.

I will sit in a restaurant for hours if I'm with friends. If it's by myself, or just me and Shane, I'm like let's go! (I get to hang out with him if we're at a restaurant or not! ) :)

yes supplements! I take 1 anti acid, those are the only Rx pills because I have GERD and no more Gallbladder. The rest are natural supplements. Omega 3 (2), Cranberry D-Mannose, Probiotics (2 during flu season and 1 the rest of the year), Iron, Vitamin B-12 and Vitamin D.

Next race: THIS SUNDAY MY 1st HALF MARATHON!

what are your thoughts on the whole "run less/run faster" phenomenon? i've been reading about it, since i'll be starting a medical residency in july and won't be able to work out NEARLY as much as I can now….i'd be interested in what you have to say bc you have a running coach now and so much knowledge and experience and you're just fantastic!

I was one of the dirty sweaty runners with Katie at a restaurant for 4 hours last night. She's right you would have fit in well. DOn't worry we ate your share of carbs.

I would top every salad with goat cheese. Lots and lots of goat cheese.

PS I will be in Boston too and you can cheer for me after you finish 12 hours before I do.

I don't take any supplements or vitamins…matter of fact, I don't really take any pills or medications. They make me crazy :)My next race is a half marathon in April unless I do an impromptu 5 or 10K. I am just coming back from a very severe hip injury so I have to be cautious!!
I tend to be quick at restaurants although my last few restaurant excursions were quite lengthy…they basically had to kick us out!
I would choose RANCH. RANCH RANCH RANCH.

Question: I am a new reader to your blog (which I love by the way!!!!!) and I see that you do all your treadmill runs at a 1% incline. In all my training and college years I was always told by coaches that I should ALWAYS run at a 2% incline to truly simulate running outdoors. I live in MN so I spend about 6 months or more per year on that trusty treadmill! Have I missed some sort of new recommendation or memo about treadmill running? After my first winter of almost exclusive treadmill, getting outside was a CINCH and I ran a 3:20 without batting an eyelash, not that my time compares with yours :), but I am just looking for an excuse to maybe make my training easier :)
THANKS!

i've never heard of beta-alanine. i take a calcium & vitamin D supplement. it's made by new chapter. i have been looking at ultra marathons. i have always wanted to do one. i feel in love with trail running last year when we moved to pennsylvania. there's a lot of great trail races here. but i am no where near running shape. i'm still trying to figure out new baby + fitting in workouts. oy.

I'm horrible about remembering to take vitamins. My next race is the Livestrong Half Marathon in Austin. I like lots of stuff in my salad and very little romaine/spinach. I'm going to check out beta-alanine…I will believe it works fo you and you rock, so it will work for me!

I don't take any supplements, my next race is next Saturday – my first one of 2011 and with my DAD! – I can't wait, we are mostly in and out of restaurants b/c my little guy can't handle hanging too long. BUT last night I got a girl's night out w/ my BFF and we talked in there for-evah! It was fantastic! Wow, not sure i could pick one topping…I like lots of stuff on my salads!!

You are so sweet about your blogger love! :)

I LOVE that you mentioned The Bachelor! It's taken me about an hour and half to read two of your posts because I'm watching last night's episode online and only reading blogs during the 30 second commericals that play every 20 min or so. I have no drama in my life either (which is a good thing) so I have to get my fix from reality TV!
