Brooke sure enjoyed herself.

And then we went home and spent our Friday night getting some groceries for the Super Bowl and cleaning our house.

Also, do people actually like these or do they eat them only as dares?  Sour Patch Kids are as sour as I go…

I like things that have a little pucker and are a little sour but war heads are too much!

Long run this weekend is 17 miles. Finally getting into the long stuff!

Friday night was s massage and then home for pizza and relaxing with some tv! Saturday’s are for sleeping in!

I’ve unfortunately come down with some sort of sickness so my Friday night was spent snuggled up on the couch! Trying to talk myself into a 15 mile run now…

Reply

Last night was Pho take out and a lot of reading. I’m trying to catch up with school. I’ve got a paper due this week!

Reply

Last night I went to laser quest (laser tag) with my co workers and then out to dinner. It was fun!

No long runs this weekend. Had a little injury but the long running fun returns next week!

I’m glad to see I’m not the only mom walking around with stickers ha I have a 6 yo boy so mine are usually Star Wars or Avengers ;-) I love sour things, especially pickles (with burgers of course ;-) 1h30 long run including long hills tomorrow. I’m going easy this week-end because my next half-marathon training starts on Monday! Exciting and scary at the same time!

I love sour things :) Warheads are delicious!

I ran a virtual 10k yesterday and have an actual 5k race tomorrow, so no major long run for me this weekend.

My Friday night consisted of Blacklist and pizza.

Reply

Just ran 14 and really glad it’s done! I spent Friday night sort of dreading the run since I had to get out really early, so even more relief!

Reply

I used to eat pretzel bites everyday as part of my lunch break when I worked at the mall. Or I’d splurge and get chicken noodle soup at the lion house bakery inside Deseret book. I thought I was super poor back then, all single with no kids or bills…

I do t do sour. Sour patch kids and sweet tarts are my limit.

Reply

I can do sour things, but I don’t go out looking for them! I’m housesitting, which is sadly the only time I can let myself relax and watch Netflix so I caught up on FOUR chick flicks in one night! It had to be a record, I was very proud of myself.

I’m running probably around 10-12 miles today, but I’m not in official marathon training or anything.

Reply

I hate sour things! Even looking at those candies made my mouth pucker.

15 miles this weekend! Hoping the weather will be nice :)

Reply

I met my friend for pizza last night….we each ate 4 slices!
Today’s run will be a short 3ish but tomorrow I’ll be bringing back the “long run” starting modestly at 5 or 6. I just have to build up to 10 miles by the end of March. Training for half marathons feel so easy after training for marathons.
I like sour candy sometimes….not usually a craving for me though.

I have to admit, I used to LOVE Warheads! My brother and I would see who oculd last the longest without making a face. The lemon was always the worst/best!

Reply

I bought a car Friday night! I’m panicking because it’s the most expensive thing I’ve ever bought, and I’m terrified it’s going to break down after two weeks. Or get stolen like my last car did.

15 miles today. Can’t wait for this whole car mess to be completely over.

Those tacos look amazing! Wish we had better Mexican food in Boston! I think I need to do more searching. Have a great weekend!

Sour is not good. Not good at all. No.

Last night was to be a movie night at church complete with pizza, hot dogs, & popcorn. My girls and I decided we were too tired to go so we got Chinese takeout, changed into our pajamas, and had a very relaxing evening at home. It was awesome and just what we needed!

Reply

The Boy and I were wild and crazy with our Friday night! A 5-mile run (for me), errands, and dinner at CPK. :)

My 14 mile long run was DONE by 8:00 this morning! I love feeling productive that early in the morning. The 4AM start time, not so much…

And, I’m not a huge fan of sour. Pretzel bites on the other hand…

Reply

Gosh I only ate War Heads in like 5th grade. That stuff will tear up the roof of your mouth!

Reply

No to sour things! Especially those! I can do a few sour patch kids but that’s it.
I got my first run in outside this morning in 2 weeks! It was awesome! Its been too cold.
Friday night was spent in with a delicious homemade salmon dinner with roasted veggies and Better Call Saul on Netflix. It was great :-)

Reply

I used to love WarHeads as a kid! If you eat enough your mouth eventually goes numb.
Last night was grocery shopping to avoid the crowds this weekend. My husband and I are officially an old married couple.

Reply

No sour. Still no running- doctor’s orders. Spent last night finishing Boardwalk Empire. Pretzel bites are also my love language, so Brooke and I have that in common. My girls know we have to stop when we go to the mall!

Reply

friday we were boring and fell asleep at 10:30. I’m heading out the door for my first double digit run in a while! just setting up a few podcasts to listen to :)

Reply

mmm i LOVE tacos. Gimmie some of those babies! :) We’re making tacos for the superbowl I am pretty pumped!

Reply

Last night we dug out of the snow to head over to my friends house! I’m so ready for spring. Long run of 14 miles on the treadmill. Enjoy your weekend!

Reply

I like sour patch kids but that’s as far as I go.
Last night we watched the season finale of Red Road and were in bed by 10:30. Which is kinda impressive ’cause I thought I’d be watching it through my eyelids by 9:30!

Reply

I waited for my 13 year old to come home from the movies last night and totally panicked when it was 10:45 and the movie ended at 9:30!! SO STRESSFUL. That’s what I did. :/ And then I got up at the bum crack of dawn with my 2 year old this morning. This blended family thing is a bit tiring. Ha!!! Going for my long run tomorrow. Probably about 15 miles!

Reply

I do not do sour. I can’t stand it even sour patch kids and war heads were my nemesis growing up haha. Run this morning was 4 miles worth of hills on the treadmill since we got pelted with snow last night. Perfect morning pick me up after a delicious night of sushi and oreos :)

Reply

I combined your speed interval treadmill workout with the treadmill hill workout you posted a few weeks ago. And, I absolutely loved it! I really appreciate you posting all of your workouts in one – great ideas and inspiration!

Reply

No on sour things!

Ran 12 last long run for Los Angeles Marathon next week. It will not be an “A” race for me so I am going for a PR in fun. Wish me luck ;)

Reply

Sour candy is the best! I used to eat Warheads all the time when I was younger and I’m pretty sure they like actually hurt my mouth.

Long run this weekend = 15 miles done! Went pretty well considering I spent my Friday night with a few too many martinis :)

Reply

I used to love Warheads!

I took some time off to heal some nagging injuries after my last full marathon in October, but now it’s time to get to work again. Half marathon training started this week, so my running friends and I met for six miles this morning. I’ve got some work to do in the next 10 weeks! 6 mikes didn’t feel this hard a few months ago!

Reply

I spent my Friday night eating pizza out. The local place is so good. Its our weekly date.

I did 4 miles yesterday afternoon, so that felt nice!

I do not like sour things! It seems the always hurt my mouth!

Reply

The 9 hour drive to SLC to get some of those tacos seems rather reasonable right now.

Reply

I ve tried those sour thingies and they were yikes!! I don’t know who people eat them! As for my Friday night well it was a wild one… went to bed at about 8:45pm LOL!!! I have an 11 miler planned for tomorrow – it was suppose to be today but I saw the weather and with all this wind and rain it was just not ideal…tomorrow its suppose to be all sunny so i hope the forecast is correct :)

Reply

I went home for the weekend (I’m a college student) and this morning when I got out for my run, I was just really not feeling it because I missed my usual running route back at my college town… but I decided, you know what? I’m going to go exploring! So I left my neighborhood (the only place I ran when I still lived here… boring!) and just ran wherever I wanted, and before I knew it THREE HOURS had gone by! A much longer run than I had intended!

Reply

My Friday night was spent shoveling snow! We got a pretty big storm yesterday and had to spend the night on cleanup duty. It was a good workout though!

Reply

I like sour stuff, but I don’t particularly enjoy Warheads.

Long run today, 16 miles! It was a little rough in the beginning because Boston got a ton of snow yesterday, but by the time the sun was up it was already beginning to melt, so the second half wasn’t so bad :)

And I went to bed at 8pm last night, so clearly I had a very exciting evening.

Reply

I do not do sour. AT.ALL. ::shudder::

And apparently I’m OCD enough that in the one photo of darling little Brookemeister I totally want to pull her left pant leg down. One, because it’s uneven and two, because I’m cold. My kids used to say “Mom’s cold, put on a sweater”. Whatever, fix that pantleg!
Or, just tell me you did so I can quit obsessing. LOL (yes, I’ve lost my mind.)

Reply

I love your Honey Bee sweatshirt, and I can NOT believe that was an entire year ago! Time goes by fast.

I love sour patch kids and sour soothers but am not brave enough to try a Warhead. Going out for a 2 hour run this weekend.

Reply

My 11 year old daughter loves warheads… I hate them. I don’t know how anyone eats them!

I’m going to attempt a run tomorrow. How far I go depends upon how much I cough and how bad the muscle I pulled in my back coughing hurts. The route I want to do is 6.5. Snow has kept me on the treadmill the last two weekends. I have a bit of cabin fever.

Reply

Spent our Friday night in Dallas at a hotel after legs 1 & 2 of our 5 flights to San Francisco…I’m never letting my husband plan a trip again. We’re still not there!
I cannot do sour. Bring on all the heat and spice, but I can’t even tolerate sour patch kids. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Ick.
I need a run after two days of flying!!!

Reply

I ran today! 6 slow miles. Trying my toe out a little. It felt pretty good but still didn’t like a lot of stress so I took it slow and methodically but blessed to be running! And yes, I like sour :-)

Reply

I used to actually love War Heads and would eat them every chance I got!I thought it was so weird that people dared each other to eat them because I would eat them for pure pleasure! Now, I don’t like sour things. It’s peculiar how our taste buds change as we age.

I spent my Friday night in bed reading- perfect! :)

Reply

I totally forgot about warheads!! I use to love them, but I think I wouldn’t anymore.

Reply

I had to work last night :( I had more work to catch up on than normal. BOO. Today I went off of time and ran for 45 whole minutes! I had two workouts left but I wanted to bring the stroller for both of them, one 60 minute run and one 30 minute run so I combined them and then split the time, so I ran for 45 minutes yesterday.

Brooke knows where it’s at with those pretzel bites! I love sour patch watermelons. I don’t know how people enjoy eating warheads. My mouth is watering just thinking about what they taste like.

Reply

You guys do fun things! I’m a stay home mom that just stays home. I like getting out but just don’t seem to much. And I need to get my 3 year old to clean!

Reply

I LOVE sour worms. I could eat an entire bag in one sitting…..that’s sad! haha!

My long run today was 7 miles! I’m slowly but surely building up!

Friday night was a relaxing night in just hanging out, my favorite!! :)

Reply

Um, hello those tacos look freaking AMAZING. It makes me want to run out and get chicken right now, but my tummy is still pretty upset. (Anxiety post break up and my tum is just not happy at all :/) But that looks SO GOOD! Maybe it will be tempted. Maybe .

Brookie in flannel is the cutest!

I do like sour things, usually!

I skipped my run again this week, for the 10th time. I am struggling.

My Friday was miserable. I ran first into my ex’s ex-fiancé, who is the whole reason my ex IS my ex, and while I was upset and trying to shake it off, went to my happy place to decompress- the record store to wander through the aisles of vinyl and space out- and ran into none other than my ex himself. Who went speeding through the intersection the second he saw me. It was horrendous. Not a happy day. I gotta go back to running. Running club starts up again next week with better weather and I am hoping to hike tomorrow while everyone else is watching football. I can do this.

Reply

I’ll eat all the Sour Patch/sour gummies out there. Warheads cause me physical pain, and I steer clear of that business.

Did a small town half (130 people) yesterday, and it was a blast. PRed by 5 minutes!

Friday night was spent chaperoning a middle school dance. I have no shame during the Cupid Shuffle. :)

I had my last race of my 20’s this weekend – a local Valentine’s 15K. Bird Set Free and Unstoppable by Sia were definite motivation boosters during those last couple miles so thank you for sharing a playlist last week. :) I spent about half of the race thinking about the progress I made in my 20’s and how much I am looking forward to running in my 30’s.

Reply

I live in SLC and loooove Taqueria 27. Next time you go you have to try the mushroom taco. AMAZING!

Reply

Oh my gosh.. I used to love warheads when I was a kid, but I won’t go near them now! too funny!
