Out of my fitness comfort zone.

I got out of my fitness comfort zone last night.

My fitness comfort zone includes the following things—>  running in a straight line, running on trails, teaching spin classes and being in the back row in a pump class.

Megan has her very own gym where she trains people and runs bootcamps.   I went to her bootcamp class and it included all sorts of intervals, strength training and burpees. Oh burpees, you are probably the hardest things ever for me to do.

IMG 3938 2

She did absolutely amazing.  She made the workout fun, challenging and she was so good at working with each of us individually with our form and the weights we should be using.

I’ll be back Megs.  If you are in the Utah County area you should come too.

IMG 3935 2

It is a good thing that an easy run is on the training plan for today because I am going to be sore.

I kept seeing these ice cream signs in the corner and during the jump squats I was dreaming of eating ice cream instead of continuing to make my quadriceps burn.

IMG 3937 2

After bootcamp I had a bunch of things to get done for church and I didn’t make it back for dinner until 9:30.  And that is why I had the world’s laziest dinner.  Sweet potato, an apple (with almond butter) and a lot of steak jerky.

IMG 3945 2

I told you, she doesn’t stop running…

Unless it is to read this book 8 times in a row with me.

IMG 3947 2

And just in case you ever wonder about where HRG posts are produced…  sprawled out on my couch and with some sort of snack in front of me.

Super professional.  Why buy a desk when you have a couch?

IMG 3925

A reader sent me a link for this ice cream.  I am positive that a bowl (or pint) of this could turn any bad day that I ever have in the future into a good day.

Anything other than running, yoga or barre is out of my comfort zone now! Or anything at the gym really I guess, I haven’t been there in so long!

Reply

I can’t do step to save my life. I have no skills and don’t even get my stayed on zumba.

Reply

I’ve never been a class person. I’m so used to running on my own or with few other people that big classes intimidate me. It’s been a long time!

I’m obsessed with cookies and cream ice cream right now, so that’s what we have in the freezer. My husband is loving butter pecan, probably because he knows he won’t have to share it since I’m allergic to pecans.

We had dinner at 9:15 last night, so right there with ya on a late night dinner!

Today is work, nap for lunch, work, run, sleep. I’m sure there will be a few other things thrown in for good measure, but that’s how I’m hoping the day goes!

LOVE bootcamp-style classes! (And love Megan’s tights!)

Reply

Weights!!! I always feel so out of place doing strength training but I know it’s what my body needs not only to make me stronger but also to help improve my running.

I love pumpkin pie ice cream and am so happy we still have some left. For people from the south, you can get it from publix.

On the agenda for today is work work work!!!

Reply

A gym with ice cream signs in the corner is cruel and unusual punishment.

Reply

Oh my does B&J’s make the best flavors. Someone in the house found the hidden last serving of Joy to the Swirled Ben and Jerry’s and I had to resort to Stracciatella (chocolate chip) and it was not the same. at. all.

My comfort zone is my regular running routes, trails, lap pool, and my bike. I took a step class once and ended up on someone else’s step. Right now my daughter and I take ballet together which is totally fun and hilarious.

Today is work, run (hope for no rain, plus it’s super cold) and watching basketball practice then all the evening craziness!

Reply

I’m not a class person either but spin I can do. I just love spin and actually love the energy the class brings to the ride. Burpees I hate and will never be good at.

Reply

Any exercise video usually is very hard for me. I am such a runner/cardio girl all the weight training and maneuvers hurt!

Snow day over here in Virginia! Lots of ice and accidents, so I get a day on the couch:) I will do a treadmill run in a few minutes…blah. Any Netflix recommendations?

Reply

Boot camp type, abs, and working out with people that are way better than me are out of my comfort zone.

My mom is coming over so I can get out of the house for a bit. Definte stops are my favorite coffee shop, a baby botique, and the grocery store.

Reply

Spin class and heavy weights definitely intimidate me!
No ice cream in the house. My willpower fails if I bring it home.
Wednesday: heading to the gym right now and making a new Asian quinoa recipe for my blog today!

Reply

Pretty much any cardio besides running is out of my comfort zone! I would be really intimidated to go to a boot-camp type class or even spinning. I also haven’t swam since last June so that wouldn’t go well either. I really stick to what I am used to and don’t branch out much!

Reply

goodnight light and the red balloon, goodnight kittens, goodnight mittens….I can also do chicka chicka boom boom, dinosaurs love tacos, and Hop on Pop. I can do most of In the Night Kitchen.

because, have mercy my kids like repetition.

Currently, there are blondies in my freezer. I wish I had pork stock already made in my freezer, because I don’t want to skim stock all day tomorrow after my run. I will, however, be skimming stock all day after my run.

Reply

I’m about to head out for a run in the cold right now!

Reply

All group classes are out of my comfort zone, I am so nervous to attend them even though I really want to try a yoga class and a spin class!

Today is work work work and an easy four miler! :)

Reply

Boot camp type workouts for sure! Oh, and anything in a pool!

Mint chocolate chip :)

Work, run and play with my little guy! Plus, we have a house showing so fingers crossed!!

Reply

Anything besides running is pretty much out of my comfort zone. Running is the only exercise that makes sense to me…
I really wish I had chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream in my freezer!

Reply

Oh my goodness I need Brookers vest in my size. It is so darn cute.

Basically anything that is not running I feel ruuul awkward doing. I’ve been wanting to try Cross Fit but I feel like they speak their own language.

Reply

I did a bodypump class on Monday FINALLYYYY!! I was honestly so proud of myself because I’ve always been very very scared of it. I actually LOVED it, even though I think it will take me a few more classes to get the hang of things (they go so fast!). I still can’t lift my arms above my head or walk down stairs without a railing but I kind of love feeling sore. Next up is trying a spin class!

Reply

I don’t do many classes, so they are all out of my comfort zone!!! Today is hills, 4 miles of hills!! :) I don’t have ice cream but I have some seriously good gelato in the freezer right now! Happy Wednesday!

Reply

Speculoos!! Like the cookie butter from trader Joe’s! I deem it my healthy dessert ha! Must try that ice cream.

Getting out of your comfort zone is not easy, so way to go. Burpees do suck.

Reply

Burpees are painful! They are totally out of my comfort zone.
And I LOVE Goodnight Moon. It’s one of my favorites.

Reply

I did the fartlek workout you posted yesterday this morning! He time went so fast and it was a great way to push myself!

Reply

No ice cream in the freezer. I can’t have it there because I have no self control. But if I did I would want chocolate chip.
I can’t do any fast paced aerobic classes. So out of my comfort zone. Zumba and me don’t work. I have no rhythm. :)

Reply

Leading people through a workout is outside of my comfort zone. As well as competitions or races. I’m signed up for a tri in Sept and already nervous.

Our freezer is filled with grab and go meals. Every time we cook we cook for about 8 people instead of 2 and then freeze the leftovers in individual portions. Great to pull out and microwave when you get home at 9:30 ;)

Reply

I can’t wait to try those new Cookie Core flavors! I have to check the grocery store asap, it’s been on my mind ever since I saw the ad the other day! Anytime I find myself in a boot camp style class (which is rarely but it can happen on occasion) I am totally out of my comfort zone and even feel out of shape! lol

Reply

Speculoos is the BEST. I tried it for the first time 5 years ago when I was living in Belgium! I am so glad it made it’s way stateside!!

Reply

burpees really are the hardest. also, i want brooke’s fur vest.

Reply

I’ve done lots of different types of workouts. I’m currently running and doing a boot camp. Anything that involves coordination is out of my comfort zone ;)

I have some Umpaqua vanilla froyo in my freezer, yum!

On today’s agenda: bootcamp this morning, fog delay for work/school (yay!!!), work until 2:30, grocery shopping, make dinner, kids @ AWANA (church) tonight, while the hubs and I get a quick run in.

Reply

I have mint cookies and creame….oh man it is delish!

Reply

Basically anything other than running and the occasional jillian michaels dvd are outside of my fitness comfort zone. I need to work on doing some different workouts!

I have a malted milk ball ice cream in my freezer right now. I wish there was spumoni ice cream in there! I couldn’t find any this year!

I haven’t figured out my plans for today yet. Definitely a trip to the grocery store and some kind of workout :)

Reply

I wish that ice cream was in my freezer right now!! Bootcamp is out of my fitness comfort zone too because I HATE burpees and I sometimes fear those types of movements because I’m afraid I’ll end up hurting something that will effect running ;) But I’ve been going to a YMCA bootcamp twice a week for the past couple of weeks and love it! I am always stupid sore the next day, but that’s how I know it’s working I guess!

Reply

Anything strength related is out of my comfort zone! Give me cardio any day!

Reply

Trader Joes makes a Speculos cookie butter ice cream too – I would be interested to see a comparison taste test of the two, I think you’d be up to the task!

Reply

It’s horrible to admit, but I have not been in an ice cream mood lately. However, the boy does keep ice cream in the freezer at all times! Currently: Monster Cookie, and Cookies and Cream.

Reply

I have Vanilla Salted Caramel ice cream in my freezer right now and as of this moment, it is now the ONLY thing I can think about….thanks, thanks a lot. :)

Reply

I would definitely say that the crossfit/bootcamp type workouts are out of my comfort zone. They definitely do a number on my body and I’m always afraid I’m going to place something in the wrong area and tear/rip/break a body part.

We have French Silk in the freezer right now. Love those chocolate chunks! Today I am meeting up with a friend this morning for a run and coffee. The combo could not be better.

Reply

I have extreme moose tracks in my mini-fridge’s freezer right now. YUM!

And burpees…why are they so hard?! They look so easy when some other people them ha!

Reply

That ice cream is calling my name! I can’t keep any in my fridge for fear that it will make it right to my midsection.

Burpees are AWFUL. How is it possible I’d rather run 20 miles than do 100 burpees?! Insanity.

For me it takes a lot of courage to go to a group fitness class (I’m always worried I’m doing everything wrong!) but once I make it in there, I always enjoy myself!

Reply

I love love LOVE Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, in fact I just ate some at the beach the other day!!

Reply

Just bought ice cream and I went with [boring] vanilla because that’s what my husband likes. I don’t mind it if I throw some peanut butter or chocolate chips (or both!) in there. :)

Reply

Oh my God, that ice cream looks amazing! Ice cream is my favorite thing.

In my comfort zone: elliptical, Stairmaster, weight training, and Zumba. I’ve never tried pump or spin actually.

Reply

Ben and Jerry’s can do no wrong. I am working all day, but hopefully getting in a good run tonight and finishing Monday’s episode of The Bachelor!

Reply

Sounds like a great workout. Spin is definitely out of my comfort zone, but I’ve been craving it…(can you crave a workout?!). No ice cream in the freezer, but some frozen chocolate chips are. Today I’m hoping to get in some yoga after our stroller run with my Moms Run This Town friend. Happy Wednesday.

Reply

Janae! I was thinking of you the other day because I didn’t have time to shower after a run (I mean…showering is LOW on the priority list, right?!) and I have been meaning to ask if you ever use the Burt’s Bee’s wipes? http://www.burtsbees.com/Facial-Towelettes/facialTowlettes,default,sc.html
I bought them because sometimes I am working out and then have to go somewhere/do something before I have time to shower. They. Are. AMAZING and I thought I’d make sure that everyone I know who sweats knows about these. Anyway, that’s all. Just wanted to share :) Thanks for another great post today AND loved the post about the fartlek!

Reply

So glad you tried out boot camp! That’s my favorite way to cross train. I try to go at least twice a week and also do a class similar to pump once a week. I’m still scared to try cycling- I feel like that’s way outside my comfort zone, but I’m going to be adding it to my regime soon!

Training today: Already did boot camp/ And 4 miles of some sort of speed or hill work out tonight.

I have Ben & Jerry’s with the sea salt caramel core in my freezer! Soooo good!

Reply

Any type of workout that is not running intimidates me! One of my fitness goals for this year is to take some fitness classes and find new and fun ways to work out.

In my freezer, I have pumpkin ice cream and peppermint ice cream. I was terrified they would come off the shelf soon so I stocked up haha. I also found a box of Samoas last week which I was pumped about. They’re almost gone though so thank goodness order forms are out for this year :)

I have a very exciting, super secret task on the calendar for this afternoon. I’m really nervous so cross your fingers for me!

Reply

Running, soin, and zumba are the only classes I’ve taken. So basically anything other than that would be out of my comfort zone. I have been meaning to get back to yoga but haven’t quite made it to those classes or the body pump ones. I called in sick today at work so I am just resting up for the remainder of the day.

Reply

Hi!

I wanted to thank you for a post back a few days.
I didn’t really “feel” the running thing, but just kept pushing through it and trying to be stubborn. It worked and I finished the run as planned! I will keep working on my mental toughness!

Reply

Swimming laps is so hard for me! I can swim forever if its for fun, but once you put me in a pool it feels so hard! I swam a lot when I had a metatarsal stress fracture, but I didn’t keep up with it once I could run again…

My Wednesday includes a mid-length run, lunch with friends I haven’t seen in two years, and of course work.

Reply

Boot camp raises my heart rate like crazy. That’s why I love insanity!

Reply

IF ice cream if ever in my freezer it is not in there for long….I cannot have it in the house or I eat it!! Period. Ice cream is my BIGGEST weakness!

(No fair working out and seeing those signs…..I would have my brain convinced that after the workout I get ice cream!)

Reply

I need to find that ice cream! Wonder if we will get it in Canada-land!

Nothing too big on the agenda today – work, work and more work + maybe some gym time

Reply

Burpees are so hard! Swimming, zumba (or any dance type class), and heavy weights are totally out of my fitness comfort zone. I prefer running, Pilates, yoga, and some light strength training!

No ice cream in our freezer, although I’m kicking myself for not getting some Ted Drewes frozen custard when we were in Saint Louis. Frozen custard is so good!

Reply

All I ever do is run, and run so much that even branching out into a trail run is out of my fitness comfort zone. I’m a yawn that way, but road running is my moving meditation. I’m not a huge ice cream fan. I used to drive my ex husband crazy by putting the whole container in the microwave, melting all the cream, eating all the chunks, and then putting it back into the freezer. No wonder he didn’t like me! Ha ha ha.

Reply

Look at Megan dropping that squat like it’s hot. I love bootcamp style classes. That is what I do every morning at Rage. Makes the time go by so much faster. I think she should have more than those posters there. She should actually be SELLING ice cream. It’s like insurance for her job….or something…

We have Bryers chocolate ice cream in our freezer. We usually only buy Bryers chocolate or vanilla ice cream and then we (ross) add our own toppings. He has been adding those butterscotch cookies I made and adding caramel the last few nights #metabolismenvy

I got up at 5:13 (random) and got to Rage for an hour of ‘leg day’, home, ate breakfast, fed felicity, got Annabelle off to school, bathed Evan, started laundry, cleaned up breakfast, vacuumed the house, got Evan off to school and now I just put Felicity down for a nap and am about to run with my boyfriend aka Chuck. Then it’s shower, lunch, hair cut, finish laundry, Anna’s singing class and homework/dinner time….and collapse.

Reply

A boot camp class is definitely out of my comfort zone, so way to go for trying one out! I am all about running and doing strength training on my own, but I am just so awkward sometimes I feel kind of silly taking classes. I know it is good for me to reach out of my comfort zone though so I do my best :) I think I have an old container of BYU caramel pecan or something like that in my freezer. Now that you made me think of it I really need to throw it out haha! Today I have a doctor’s appointment on the agenda to figure out some pain I have been having in regards to running. Wish me luck!

Reply

Oh my GOODNESS! That ice cream looks delightful!

It’s my 29th birthday!

Reply

It’s so cute how 2 year olds only have one speed. :)
And anything strength related would definitely be out of my comfort zone. I know I should already be doing that, but I don’t. Lol

Yumm. I can’t wait for that ice cream to come out, I’ll easy tons of it

Reply

1) What are Speculoos?! Currently in my freezer: one opened pint of Blue Bell Cookies and Cream and two unopened pints of Ben and Jerry’s Scotchy Scotch Scotch (because I used to be obsessed and it was a limited edition so I hoarded it…)
2) These are out of order but ANYTHING other than running is outside my comfort zone, so that fact that I am currently running AND training on top of it (lots of high intensity fat burning workouts) is killing me. But I already feel so much stronger! My next out of my comfort zone thing is going to be a group class of some kind – yoga, spin, body pump, etc.
3) Agenda – work until 5, gym, and lots of TV and quality time with my 3 animals since my BF is out of town :)

Reply

Also: BROOKE HAS THE VEST I WANT. JEALOUS!

Reply

Something like zumba would be TOTALLY out. Not a dance-y person – at least not in any organized fashion! LOL

Wednesdays are rest days…and I’m going out for dinner tonight with my bestest friend who lives 4 hours away and is in town on business – CANNOT WAIT!!!

Reply

I’m not a fan of bootcamp like classes. I tolerate the exercises, but I absolutely hate not knowing how long I have to do something for. If you tell me 100 burpees.. fine. But I will stab you if you tell me 50 burpees and then tell me I have 50 more.
Running = set distance. I know exactly how long until it is food-time.

Reply

That ice cream looks amazing!! I never keep ice cream around, but this would be a good one to try. My Wednesday plans include a short run after work followed by an indoor volleyball game.

Reply

Swimming is definitely out of my comfort zone! So tough!

Reply

i TOTALLY need that speculoos ice cream in my freezer stat! you have very good readers that provide vital information like that!

workouts that stretch me out of my comfort zone is basically anything involving a group fitness class! i usually workout on my own so these stretch me!

Reply

We have Trader Joe’s Mango Sorbet and French Vanilla right now. The downside of living 1 block away from TJ’s is that we’re in there at least 4 times a week (mostly to pick up ice-cream).

Reply

Glad you tried a new workout! I tend to get a little nervous with hardcore bootcamps involving a lot of equipment. In fact, I went through a training session yesterday using ball slams and ropes, and it was not my usual sweat session, but I’m better for it.

Reply

Hi Janae-

Really trying to get in some interval and “boot camp” style workouts in myself! It’s hard to get out of the same day to day work out, but its my goal for the spring! In the past, I have seen strong results but I know it is just a matter of sticking to it…which is the hard part!

I am an avid spinner and LOVE when you post your playlists! Switching up my music is SUPER important to me, although I do listen to the same songs that really help me through that last push.

Do you have any suggestions for spin work outs? Since you are an instructor, I would love to hear your point of view on mixing up spin work outs or if you have any work outs on hand! It ain’t easy to sit on a bike for 45+ min : )

Also- just had Ben and Jerry’s Salted Caramel pint this weekend and ate it one night- highly recommend!!

Reply

My workouts tend to change with the seasons. Once it gets cold, I run inside for bootcamps, HIIT, and strength training. Then when I can survive outside, I run all over the place. Weird.

I do have ice cream in my freezer actually. We discovered Jeni’s ice cream ($13 a pint!) here in Chicago and it is amazing. We had to buy it bc of a glowing recommendation from a random Whole Foods customer and once it gets warmer I am going to head up to their store!

Reply

Soooo unrelated…I’m running the NYC half in March, which is notoriously cold. I have been on the hunt for something snazzy that will get the job done (hey I”m a country girl this will be my first big race which requires a new running outfit!) But what? I was catching up on your blog and the heading “My Gear” caught my eye…PERFECT!!!
Womp womp womp most of the links are broken…..time to update girlfriend!!!

Reply

I am very intimidated by Crossfit but am willing to try a 5:30 am class next Tuesday –> everything about what I just wrote is out of my comfort zone.

I don’t have any ice cream in my freezer at home; mostly cause I live with my parents and they don’t buy any and I am too lazy to go grocery shopping.

On the agenda for today is: work until 5 pm, go to the gym after work, try not to eat carbs tonight, and blog.

Reply

Classes kinda scare me. Right now I prefer following my own pace. Burpees…yuck! Those things always take me right back to gym class when my BFF and I would get in trouble for talking and have to do like a zillion as punishment.

Right now I can’t get enough of Talenti Salted Caramel Gelato. I ate the last teeny bit last night too…sigh.

I need to get a solid 5 miles in but it keeps raining and being cold. In ATL we don’t do cold and I can’t take another run on the treadmill. Cross your fingers that the fog/drizzle has lifted by the time I get home from work.

Reply

Classes are definitely out of my comfort zone – I would be a disaster in a step class (kind of uncoordinated!)

That is so cool that you are a spin instructor! How fun! I did boot camp a long time ago and the spinning portion was my favorite – killer workout!

Don’t really keep ice cream around, but did have Half Baked (Ben and Jerry’s) this weekend – sooooo good.

Reply

Running long distances are out of my comfort zone! ;) Hence the reason I’m always so amazed by you and all your running!

Oh man, that Ben & Jerry’s ice cream sounds out of this world amazing! I have some Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough in my freezer right now. Love that stuff!

Reply

I just bought some s’mores ice cream. It is the beeeest and I don’t even like smores! I got a 7 mile run done on the treadmill this morning, work and then dinner with a friend! Solid Wednesday!

Reply

Ugh, now i’m going to be craving Ben and Jerry’s. That stuff is seriously THE! BEST! And I don’t share. lol
Out of my comfort zone workouts? YOGA! And anything dance related because I CAN NOT dance! My hips don’t move. They lie.
I JUST bought a desk a couple months ago and it has been SO nice sitting at a desk instead of in bed or on the couch lol.

Reply

I’m also training for Boston! 4th time..I always think it’ll be my last. I KNOW that’s not a positive attitude, but I find the most stressful part is qualifying!
I’ve incorporated hot vinyasa style yoga into my training and most recently, a hot (95-100 degree) sculpt class. We do core, upper body with weights, lower body, and cardio intervals (said dreaded burpees, and mountain climbers, etc). It is a phenomenal workout.
As far as ice cream…it’s is funny that I almost always think about ice cream while running. Regardless if its 30 degrees or 80!
I’m a plain girl when it comes to ice cream. Vanilla, chocolate, Neapolitan, green tea…my favorite is chocolate-peanut butter! …I don’t like anything in it! No chunks, pieces of anything. Wait!!! Unless its cherry amaretto flavor..then I love the cherries! But hold the nuts or chocolate chunks.
Time to hit my freezer!

Reply

I LOVE the Costco steak strips! I saw them in your cart a few posts back and immediately started craving them. Luckily we always try to keep some in the fridge!

Reply

Zoomba is way out of my fitness comfort zone (I’m so bad at learning the dance moves). The harder the class the better for me. Something about finding my rhythm kills me.

I have mint chocolate chip ice cream which is eons old in my fridge. I must update with some Spectacular Speculoos!

I am playing volleyball tonight. My marathon training was interrupted this week by some random 12 hour vomiting session (tmi, I know. so gross!). I feel better but low energy and kinda funky. I hate being sick.

Reply

Anything other than running is out of my comfort zone. I’ve got an ice cream cake that I got from my birthday. Wanna come help me eat it?!

Reply

CrossFit and things like the Spartan race are out of my comfort zone. In addition to running I like bootcamp, strength training, yoga, barre and most fitness classes.

I have Turkey Hill Banana Peanut Butter ice cream in my freezer. My dog and I enjoy it, husband hates banana and peanut butter. (he dislikes nuts, coconut and caramel as well – more for me)

We love roasted broccoli and I like how you arranged your plate – very festive!

Reply

I’m in love with Brooke’s vest!! So cute!! Looks like she doesn’t want to take it off!!

Reply

Your face made my DAY last night!!! I can’t even tell you how much I loved having you there. Please come again :) And girl…you owned those burpees.

Oh and You own me a DC. ;)

Reply

Hmm…Bootcamp classes like the one you took are definitely out of my comfort zone too! I’m pretty comfortable lifting weights in the gym but I definitely feel nervous trying out a new machine and having no idea what I’m doing. Lol!

Like mother like daughter with the running !

Reply

I have those mini nutty ice cream cones…I can’t remember their real name. Perfect size when you are craving some ice cream but not the calories.

Reply

Swimming=out of my comfort zone.

Vanilla ice cream with some good toppings recently. That Ben and Jerry’s looks great.

I really want to make it to the gym tonight!

Reply

I got Breyer’s Tiramisu Gelato from a co-worker recently and it is AMAZING. So, so good.

Reply

Workouts outside my comfort zone are probably dance-style workouts. I am just not comfortable shaking my booty in places other than on a dance floor.

At the moment I have home made mint choc chip ice cream in the freezer! It is pretty yum!

Reply

My running BFF and I have this “out of comfort zone” conversation a lot. It’s weird how we happily go out and run for several hours at a time, but doing a burpee is like giving birth. Yoga is definitely out of my comfort zone (I’m SO unflexible), as is anything that has to do fast, aerobic, dance-like moves.

I tried spinning for the first time yesterday. I was too intimidated to go to the class, but got comfortable with the spin bike and how to adjust it. So that was a big win.

Reply

I don’t think I’ve done any workouts that were NOT out of my comfort zone when I first started them. I would have to say the one that was the most out of my comfort zone was Body Pump, since I had never lifted before. I don’t belong to that gym anymore..and I miss pump.
We do have some Kirkland’s signature vanilla ice cream in the freezer right now..I may have to have some later!
Today is my rest day (half marathon training) but I am doing some burpees later ( I like them but no one else does!) Also, our kids both have youth group at church, so I will enjoy some one on one time with the hubby.
Have a great Wednesday!

Reply

Right now lifting weighas and yoga classes are my comfort zone. Running used to be my comfort zone but now it’s hard

Reply

I’m embarrassed by the number of ice cream in my freezer right now. 6 kinds, yes 6! Mint chip, carmel de Leche, froyo, chubby hubby, candy bar, and drumstick. Sad I know all 6 too! Love ice cream!!

Reply

Krav maga used to be out of my fitness comfort zone, but I took the leap and now I love it! Swimming is currently out of my comfort zone.

Reply

Almond butter is great on a sweet potato and provides some protein!! YUM!

For Christmas Eve my sister made these brownies with a cookie butter frosting. It was heavenly!!

Reply

Oh my word…cookie butter ice cream? Be still my beating arteries<3

Reply

YES I am so excited for the 3 new cookie core ice creams, I’ve been stalking all of my local grocery stores/Targets this week haha.

Reply

That B&Js ice cream looks so good. My favorite is their half baked but I’m thinking I need to try that kind sometime!

Reply

It is always good to leave your comfort zone and try something new. I am trying at least once a months a new class in the gym (type or instructor).
