Our first fancy dinner party at our new apartment.

20140809-074342.jpg

All of my favorite Brooks people came to Utah just to visit me.  I feel so special.

Or maybe they came for the Outdoor Retailer that is held twice a year in Salt Lake City and I hunted them down to hang out with me.

I tried to buy these bar stools from them for my apartment but I guess they aren’t for sale.

I got to preview shoes and clothing that will be coming out next spring and let’s just say I almost cried tears of joy when I saw the new PureFlow 4s.

IMG 6176

Afterwards we went to dinner with some of the Brooks crew and then watched the fountains at City Creek (if you ever visit SLC you have to go here).

IMG 6187

On Friday I did some cross-training first thing in the morning—> 15 minutes on the elliptical, 25 minutes on the stair climber and 10 on the rower.  I want to get in a long run (long for me that is:) today so I didn’t want to run yesterday too.   I don’t decide what I am going to do for cross-training until I am actually at the gym and doing it… I usually switch to the next machine once I get really bored.

We had some special visitors come over to see the new place

and then we hung around being lazy because I was far too productive on Thursday to be productive yesterday too.

IMG 6200

We had our first very fancy dinner party.  I really need a kitchen table.  If you have an extra one sitting around send it on over to us.

IMG 6209

And some garden tomatoes and blackberries.

I hope your long run/race/workout/fun run/sleeping in goes really well today! Enjoy every second of it:)

Yay to new apartment! Congratulations!

I have already done 2 of my planned things for today, so I’m feeling super productive. We got up early to beat the rain and had a wonderful 70-degree run (such a treat in the summer down here!). Then we grabbed the pups and went to our local Green Market and had iced coffee and the best croissant I’ve ever tasted- totally OK with the fact that it probably had an entire stick of butter in it. Worth it!

For the rest of the day, I will probably mosey down to the music festival in the park and hopefully catch up with some friends later on. Once I get my run done, I feel like everything else is gravy!

Have a great weekend!

I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be
