A lot of randomness coming at ya by just pushing the play button.  If you have nothing better to do with your life in the next 1 minute and 17 seconds then I recommend watching it.

-Brooke thinks that it is hilarious to poke my eyes.

-Favorite food = spaghetti in our household lately.

-My really awesome pen trick that I spent the majority of my college experience trying to learn.

-Singing our theme song in the car together.

-My brother-in-law (aka MC Hammer).

-Brooke doing the 100 meter dash.

-Flashback to 6 months ago when Brooke was just tiny.

-My sister and I jamming out to a little Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It.  Just a normal Sunday night activity with my family.

I can never get over how cute Brooke is!

Weekend runs were 5 easy outdoors in the sun yesterday and heading out the door in a few minutes for 8 today, it’s my down week in mileage before I build up again over the next few weeks for my spring race…my legs are feeling super fresh :) I hope your injury is healing up! Have a great Sunday :)

So stinking cute!

Well since I’m 15 weeks pregnant I’m loving pizza, grilled cheese, ice cream… The works!

Ha I don’t even know where to begin my comment. Your family should basically be in music videos with all that dancing. Your Brother in law has some of the best dancing I’ve seen and I watched a solid 2 hours of a countdown of Hip Hops best music videos on TV yesterday.

Is Brooke going to be a sprinter? :-)

I didn’t race this weekend…I’m just recovering. I did lay in bed a lot…and eat…it’s kind of the same. Either way it makes you more tired.

PASTA is ALWAYS a staple in our home. We have it at least 4 times a week! Love it.

No racing for me this weekend. But I am looking forward to it being a new month. Love the opportunity in a new month of training.

Favorite Food in our house lately is grilled coconut encrusted snapper. Our special recipe. We fish a lot.
My long run Saturday was epic. No race this weekend. Just a nice easy weekend in perfect weather with my family.

That video was great!

Your brother-in-law has some amazing moves! I love that he wasn’t afraid to bust a move for you guys either. :)

Your family is so cute. Each person is so sweet in their own way.

Brooke has grown so much! I love her laugh.

About to head out for 20 miles! Peanut butter is a staple-everyone has their own jar!

Your family is clearly made up of extremely talented dancers and singers :) I can’t tell if Brooke is cuter now or then, she’s adorable at all ages!

Pb toast has made a huge comeback in the mornings in our house.
However, about to go make blueberry pancakes cause it is Sunday.

I am about to leave for an easy slow eight-my run yday was terrible-I was just not good. Sooo slow.
That video is great! I never think of making videos, or putting them all together. I’m afraid it will be really hard to do!

Brooke is getting fast!

CUTE….CUTE….Cute…..

Your BIL could be one of those back up dancers to famous singers (OR to you and your sis…now, that would be a great video!! HA!) Personally, I don’t get how people are coordinated like that. ;-)

Very nice pen trick….may have to try that tonight while watching the Oscars!!

Reply

I love the video post, Janae! So awesome. Do you get to see Brooke tonight?!?
I was planning on a run yesterday but we got a freezing rain/snow so I ended up just walking the dog instead. Today is REST day so will be ready to be back at it tomorrow! Are you going to get to try to run tomorrow too? I HOPE SO :)

Oh my gooses, what a giggle. :D

Between two adults, the fave food is always anything I make. Bwahaha.

Two very snowy runs this weekend (shocker?), but they’re done! I’m definitely looking forward to Spring, after my very first winter in the Chi.

No race this weekend, but I am pretty proud of myself for running 8 miles before Body Pump, yesterday. Favorite food in my house right now are the snickerdoodle mini muffins that I just made.

Fave food in my house right now — sesame chicken stir fry <3 <3

So far my weekend runs have been disappointing. I have a cold and only managed one mile yesterday before my chest felt like I was breathing in icicles. I’m hoping I can still get my long run in today, if very slowly…

Favorite food in the house right now would have to be anything my boyfriend cooks! He’s a really good cook and it’s amazing to come home from work and have dinner already planned.

I’m from Ohio but have been studying in Luxembourg this semester. It’s been pretty dreary and grey here since I got in here in January but today…SUN. I wore shorts running for the first time since mid-October!!! It was just one of “those” great runs and it felt great!

Favorite food in my house lately…bananas and Nutella!

Reply

Ahhhh! I’m getting ready to run Napa Valley Marathon in 53 minutes. Nervous! My girls are sleeping (hotel room) while I get ready in the bathroom, leaving here in a minute. Please send good vibes, first BQattempt – I really need to calm down!!!

Reply

Good luck!

Reply

Thank-you ! I made it by 45 seconds – I’ll take it. :)

Reply

That’s amazing! Congratulations!

Reply

Your daughter has the most adorable laugh! Too cute!!! I always have in my house eggs, spinach and berries.

Reply

My daughter is very into bread lately. Just plain bread. I am into nothing because I have morning sickness until 7 or 8 every night.
There are basically 0 races in the midwest until mid April. Thank goodness because it’s like 5 degrees right now.

Reply

Brooke’s laugh is the cutest!

Reply

Brooke and Curly are way too cute for their own good. ;) Favorite food in our house right now? Trader Joe’s chocolate chips.

Reply

Hang in there Janea, just one more day to get Brooke back!!
You, in the meantime, have the best family on the planet to help you get over the humps and bumps in life! What a true blessing that is to have. Can you imagine NOT having family that lives close, while going thru some of the most painful events of life? I have family in my town too, and I just don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t meet my mom spur of the moment for coffee, or lunch, or a movie! Your family seems so awesome!
I had a chilly 6 miler yesterday, but felt great. I am training for my first 1/2 in April. Last year I was injured for 8 months. So being able to run again is so great!
Have a beautiful Sunday! I know you will make the most of it…..you are just that kind of person. :)

Reply

Your family is too cute!

Reply

Is Curly in dance lessons? She needs to be…stat! Haha, I love watching her performances–she cracks me up!!

Reply

I spent all of college mastering that pen/pencil spinning trick too!!!! My ex-boyfriend actually taught it to me and it literally took years to perfect. Oh how I miss those days of sitting in class and focusing on spinning my pencil rather than the professor :)

Reply

Favorite food in the house has been girl scout cookies as of late. My hubs devoured the 3 boxes of peanut butter patties in one sitting and had a cookie coma. :)

I’m supposed to run long… and it will have to happen on a treadmill with the sleet/ice/snow mixture that piled up in the last 12 hours.

Love the video! I love Sara Bareilles’ entire new album… so good.
You get to see your Brooke tomorrow!! Yay!!! :)

Reply

Haha your brother in law has that dance down!

Reply

so cute! brooke is getting so big:) i love these little videos, its so cute to see their personalities! your niece is quite the singer!

Reply

Love your video posts!
Favorite food around here lately: tacos and BBQ
Race this weekend: An amazing race type adventure some co-workers of friends put together. The hubs and I got 4th ;)

Reply

You have THE cutest daughter!!! <3 I went on an 8 mile run yesterday and it was actually fantastic! Sometimes my legs are dead on Saturdays but they felt great yesterday :)

Reply

Phoenix ended up being great running weather. It rained for maybe the first 20-25 minutes of the half, and then was just cloudy and cool. That said, the course is pretty blah and very few spectators came out b/c of the rain, so I’d say you didn’t miss anything :)

They were advertising the Utah Valley Marathon during the race now, and I must say, I am tempted!!

Reply

Love the video! The mountain views and the dancing are all amazing! Thanks for sharing.

Cereal is the most requested food item this week, followed closely by pasta. The kids love rigatoni. Something about being able to fit the pasta on your fingers is a bonus in our house.

I ran the Phoenix Half Marathon yesterday and had an awesome race! (Thanks for the motivation and coupon code, btw). Despite the rain and wind, I was able to finish strong and get a PR (2:22:18)! This training cycle, I incorporated more speedwork and I was able to shave 8 min off my time from Nov race time and 30 sec off my pre-babies (2008!) time.

This was the first time I ran a Phoenix Marathon race. I was impressed by all the details: from the expo to the fireworks at the start to the finish line festivities. If you have kiddos, there’s even a free kids 1K complete with race number and shirt! It has a small race feel, with a pretty big turnout (~8,000 runners for all the races: the full, half and 10k). I liked that the race was pretty laid back, plenty of porta potties and heated “lounging area” before the no corral start! A running buddies had awesome first marathons and another friend qualified for Boston! It was an awesome day!

I’m resting and recovering today! :) Foam rolling and stretching are on my agenda.
Have an awesome week!

Reply

Brooke is beyond cute and her laughter is adorable! And I want Curly to come sing and dance with my Bree in our car! Your family looks amazing! I hope your weekend is flying by.
I managed to run 8 today, the longest in 3 weeks! Finally building slowly back up. I’m still a mile slower than I was a month ago, but the IT Band is somewhat cooperating! Off to foam roll!

Reply

Favorite food lately in my house is quesadilla’s and of course ice cream! Ran 6 miles yesterday after a week of no running. Hip is better but I’m icing it right now

Reply

I ran “quick” 4 miles before meeting a friend for brunch on Saturday, but that’s the extent of my running and exercise for the weekend.

Reply

So cute! I love how sweet Brooke is!

Reply

Seriously loved this Janae…especially the last clip! You are too funny

Reply

Everyone in your family has some serious talent! I smiled through that whole video. Love it.

I ran (and PR’d woop!) a 5k yesterday. Very happy and I’m currently oddly enjoying rolling out my calves on the foam roll.

Reply

Oh my gosh, your Brother-in Law’s moves are AMAZING! So good! :)

Hammah Time!

I absolutely LOVE Curly’s singing! So much attitude! :)

Obsessed with homemade granola and have been for months! I have to have it daily!

I ran the Phoenix Marathon yesterday. My dad convinced me to do it about a month ago. My mom and 2 of my brothers were doing it too and I felt like I couldn’t miss out on the fun! Since my longest run was 16 miles I went in with no expectations, just to have fun. It was my first marathon since having my babe 11 months ago and I felt awesome. It was the first time everything came together for me to feel great the whole time, no stomach issues like I usually face! I think I’ve finally figured out what works for me! I just couldn’t wait to get done and hold my little boy after! And if course we took the best picture with my mom and brothers that will go on my wall for years to come! Hope you can do it next year!!

Reply

Ha ha!! Love all the dancing and Curly singing is so cute!! Love the mountain views and Brookers!!

Reply

So much adorable my poor heart can’t take it *__*

The favorite food in our household (aka me) is roasted broccoli and sunflower seed butter… not necessarily together. I ran 4 miles on Saturday and Sunday, which is a lot for me considering I’m coming back from an injury of sorts and haven’t run since…October. Yes, I am quite sad about that, but all I can do now is work to get my fitness back. :)

Reply

Brooke is such a cutie patootie! Love all the dancing and music in this post!

Reply

Favorite food… Starburst jellybeans and Cadbury eggs!!! Raced in the Little Rock Half today. Horrible weather, but amazing course support!

Reply

Curly is so cute singing!! My favorite food lately has been vegetables with cheese sauce. I don’t know why but I have been craving it like crazy all month!

Reply

Favorite foods right now- chocolate almond butter, roasted sweet potatoes, and artichoke hearts!

Reply

I’ve been on a chicken salad with Olive Garden dressing kick lately. And pumpkin cream cheese muffins.

No races this weekend, but I may be testing my 5K speed next weekend. I’ve also been stalking spring marathons.

Love the video, especially the dancing!

Favorite food.. Ice cream.. Death by Chocolate!

Running this weekend was on the treadmill, 8 miles Saturday.. 6 miles today.. slow at 6.5 mph with random hills (incline to 1.5).. It’s way too cold in Minnesota -12, but feels a lot colder.. I don’t think spring will ever arrive…

I am thinking of April 26th doing the Cannon Falls dualathalon (Run 2 miles, Bike 10, run 3).. I’m so race- undecided… its a love / hate thing with me.. I do love to hear about all the races…just not sure I like the race pressure?

Reply

Hmmm my favorite food (s) in my house would be home-made brownies with chocolate chip froyo on top! :)

PS love your video clips!

Reply

My latest food obsession is a quinoa dip that includes (among other things) avocados, craisins, cilantro, corn and beans. I think it’s supposed to be a salad, but I use it as a dip with tortilla chips.

I had two runs on the treadmill this weekend thanks to snow and cold. After many months of injury, any run is a great run even when on a treadmill in March. And no racing, but I competed in a climbing competition on the campus where I work. I ended up second, and it was an incredibly fun day!

Reply

No races for me this weekend, but I did have training buddies who ran Phoenix, I heard it was a fun one!

My favorite go to meal lately has been a fajita wrap, but I am CRAVING italian like a crazy person. I need some pizza and lasagna ASAP!

Reply

Tamales have been big here lately. And the kids keep begging for whipped cream squirted directly into their mouths. It’s a strange life…

Reply

Okay… we need a bit more Gettin’ Jiggy wit it! That was too short… and looking crazy! lol…

Reply

I…did not race this weekend even though I was supposed to. It was definitely, totally, completely sad.

Reply

Favorite food in my household lately would be a tie between my newly discovered birthday cake oreos and leftover turkish food from my mom’s birthday lunch earlier!

I got in a great 16 mile run in yesterday. My latest blog post has some great sunrise photos that I took at the beginning of the run. It was epic!

I didn’t race this weekend but my friend Leah who I met last year finished top female at the Little Rock Marathon! She finished in 2:42 after having to drop down to the half last year with a hamstring tear. She had surgery and recovered and took back her title today. It was awesome. (she won it 4 previous years with a course PR of 2:37 in 2012). I’m so grateful to have met her. So inspirational!

Reply

Favorite food is always Cheese-itz in this household :)

I went to visit my best friends at our college and got to ran around all my favorite places with my favorite people! We got the diet coke slurpee and donuts to re-fuel after our long today! So naturally we thought of you and took a picture to tweet to you :)

Reply

I am amazed by your BIL. That is skill

Reply

Favorite food lately = brownies. It’s dangerous when we have them in the house… I just ate 3 brownie sundaes. My runs this weekend went 4, 5, then 8 today! I ran outside today for the first time since a week ago. It’s so dang cold here. My 8 actually was about 7.7….. I had to go to the bathroom so I couldn’t finish 8. When you gotta go, you gotta go!

Reply

Until this moment for some reason I had imagined you wih an Australian accent (me being Aussie and all….) even though I know you’re not that video really confused me for just a minute because the voice I imagined while reading this was not that one lol.
Ok I’ll go now, getting too weird…. ;)

Reply

Your brother in law is an insane dancer! For real! He’s got some skills

Reply

Brooke is adorable, but you already knew that.
Curly is cute but you already knew that too.
I laughed out loud seeing your brother in law dance. I had to even show it to my husband. Gotta love the McHammer dance.

I didn’t do Phoenix, but I did do my first half this morning!! Weather was dreadful, but everything was awesome!

That was a minute and 17 seconds of pure happiness! Thanks for the share!

Nice moves! I think he needs some hammer-pants!

I am loving some tuna melts right now………..albacore tuna, wheat bread, swiss cheese, melted together……..yummers!

And lemon bars………..major yummers!
I tried those birthday cake m&m’s very thick…the filling was thicker than normal chocolate…they were good but rich!

No racing this weekend, just some nice runs………35 miles this week!

Reply

I love the video posts!

The weekend was spent recovering from the worst cold I’ve had in years..ugh!
