The perfect stocking stuffers for RUNNERS giveaway!

The plus and minus of not getting up when my alarm clock goes off in the morning:

Minus—>  I absolutely love getting my workout done first thing in the morning and finished before I even really realize what I am doing.  With each minute of the day that goes by I get lazier and lazier and less likely to work out.

Plus—–>  I got to run side by side on treadmills at the gym with my sister and talk the entire 8 miles.  I wish you guys got to know her in real life because you would then understand why I go on and on and on about how awesome she is.

The reason it looks like I haven’t seen the light of day for months is because I don’t think I have actually been outside in the daylight longer than running from my car to the gym in months.

Stretching and talking to my brother on the phone at the same time… multi-tasking at its finest.  She really loves it when I take pictures of her without her even knowing.

IMG 5186

I love adding spinach to my soup as it is cooking to get some move veggies in.  I also really love dipping my Wheat Thins into my soup to get some more carbs and deliciousness in.

Would love anything, especially that adorable headband…it sort of matches that fleece you have!

I hope you’re loving your new treadmill! I’ve. Even dying to try that one

Reply

I also add spinach (or arugula) into my soups for added veggies. Pasta too. Yesterday it was overcast and kind of rainy and a blustery 48 degrees. Which i’m sure to most people doesn’t sound cold, but it doesn’t get very cold where i live and it was sooo hard to start my run. I thought about you, and all the people who run in snow and real cold a lot. I would love some new winter gear to help me with my cold weather wimpyness!

Reply

I’m with you in working out first thing in the morning. If I don’t do it first thing chances are I’m not doing it at all :( and those gloves would be awesome for this 20 degree weather!

Reply

I need some new gear for motivation!

Reply

I am obsessed with checking the weather…only for running purposes

Reply

I decorated my treadmill with Christmas lights and even posted it on my blog. I was pretty stoked to run on it….but since I sweat like a pig, I dripped on the lights and they sparked up and nearly caught me on fire, so I quickly yanked out the plug and almost electrocuted myself. If there isn’t a prize in my future, well, I would hate to think of what is….

Reply

I agree with how fab getting in a good workout feels at the crack of dawn! ….But I also like hitting the snooze button for an hour…. I’m not sure which feels better..

Reply

That’s so true about the forecast. I schedule my runs around the least painfully cold days if I can!

Reply

I’m laying on the couch, in a fluffy down sleeping bag with Theragesic cream on my calves. Super fun Monday night!

Reply

So arm warmers sure would be great about now….it’s getting chilly here and runs are definitely feeling brisk!

We named our daughter Makena after Makena Beach when we were in Maui we got married. But then we ended up not having girls and had a Noah and Gavin. Thought 2 kids were plenty then to our pleasant surprise got pregnant with a girl…Makena. Can’t imagine life without her! The more the merrier.
Oh and I love my Brooks Pure Cadence…hey u did say anything.

Reply

All I can think to tell you is thst I am very tired and need to go to bed instead of reading blogs!

Reply

Hi there! I really enjoy reading your blog! I totally agree with the meme in this post about the weather forecast. Ugh! Temperatures in the teens, single-digit wind chills, and lake effect snow advisories make getting out the door tough…Anyways, hope you have a very happy holiday season!

Reply

I’m trying to become a better morning runner. I’m fine once I’m going, but the inertia of the mattress gets me far too often.

Reply

I need that headband! I admire you for running on the treadmill. I can’t make it a mile before I get bored and jump off.

Reply

Anything would be great! Especially those gloves. :)

I’m pretty sure I need that orange hoody you’re wearing… Can that be added to the giveaway too ;)

Reply

I mix soup and spinach too!

Reply

It’s the middle of December and Toronto has no snow, what is this?

Reply

Here’s my Giveaway comment…

Reply

It’s been cold here I definitely need warmer running clothes/accessories!

I ran a spartan race yesterday and it never got colder than 45 degrees which sucks when there are water pits and the water is freezing and you never feel warm! Still was a lot of fun to do with friends! :)

That is such a cute headband. So far this week’s forecast does not have any outstanding days for outdoor running :(

Reply

This would be perfect for the Minnesota winter running season :)

Reply

The infinity headband is pinned on my Christmas list board!!

I’ve been a treadmill nut all weekend (including a long run ) because of the ice storm. Bad news, I fell on the way to the gym, bruised bum all the way!

Reply

I have a question for you: Does Brooke also eat that spinach? I have a son about Brooke’s age, and I can’t get him to eat a single green veggie. I am a vegetarian, so I feel betrayed. :) Would love some warm running gear!

Reply

Love Brooks and your blog :)

Reply

Mmmmm… warm gear. I’d love to try the Brooks seamless arm warmers. We have a low of -1 tonight! I’ve also been meaning to get a headband, since I’m growing my hair out for the first time since I was in elementary school. Crazy, especially since I now have a 21-month-old to pull on my hair!

Not sure what’s worse…. Long run on the treadmill or outside in this freezing cold. Love your blog and your sister, wish mine would run with me!

Reply

2013 has been my first year as a “Runner” & also the year I found your blog! When I first found your blog I started with your very first post & spent a week reading until I had caught up to present day. You are such an inspiration!

Reply

My first post-second baby race is this Saturday! And that earband would be great to keep my ears warm. :-)

Reply

hope you guys are staying warm!! Love Brooke’s boots

Reply

With our crazy southern utah weather, I definitely need some new winter gear. I love the headband.

Reply

Brooke is just the most precious little thing!

Reply

I purposefully set my alarm very early in the morning so I can have a good breakfast and get schoolwork done. That way, by the time the sun comes up I have no excuse to not get out and run, I’m also fully awake by then!

Adding kale and spinach to soups is my favorite! Right now I’m going through a Trader Joe’s pumpkin soup obsession!

Reply

I am addicted to Greys Anatomy. I am not sure how many episodes I have watched today, but it is a lot.
P.s your daughter is adorable! Seriously adorable.

I’m freezing over here in southern Cali. I can’t imagine how cold you must be!

I would love the warmers!!

I need these gloves! I haven’t been able to find a good pair of running gloves, and these look perfect! The sleeves are a must for any runner, and my long hair would love to be restrained by the headband! Thanks!

Cutest arm-warmer model EVER!!

Reply

Good for you getting all these treadmill runs in!

Reply

Last week I forgot to look at the weather and it started snowing before I ran! Now I’m making friends with the treadmill on a regular basis :)

Reply

Those gloves look good on Brooke :)

Reply

I’ve never had chicken pox! But if I had a dollar for every time I had the stomach bug, I could buy all the things. Today included. Womp womp.

Reply

Need/want/covet.

Reply

Hey cute lady!!! I think since my name is Brooke the gear is perfect for me!!! Hope your doing good.

Reply

I have been thinking perhaps I need to try some arm sleeves!

Reply

Would love the arm sleeves!!!

Reply

I need these, for not only am I in Utah, where I swear it’s so cold that penguins have moved into my yard, but I am a novice runner and very slow, so I’m not even fast enough to keep from freezing.

Brooke is totally adorable. Wearing Mommy’s gear!

Reply

I would love any of the giveaways!! But I do have something to tell you…I recently upped my weekly mileage and part of what made me believe that I could do it, was that YOU can run so much in one week. I’m not even kidding. You are inspiring and funny and so cute all at the same time. So even if I don’t win the giveaway, I still love reading all about you and Brooke:)

Reply

I’m a new reader, also a runner. Those arm warmers would come in handy.

Reply

I’ve actually been liking to run on the treadmill lately…….weird!

Reply

I did NOT think I was a runner at all, but then I did my second 5K this past Saturday (when it was -11*…) and now I’m hooked. I don’t know what it was, but that one may have gotten me addicted! After years of avoiding working out outside at all costs, I’ve been bit by the running bug :)

Reply

I wish I was a morning runner. I love the idea of it, but I am not a morning person! I set my alarm very early to run almost every single morning, but it happens maybe once every 6 months. I’m pathetic! I’m an evening runner and I need to accept that.

Reply

I’d love to win any and all of these things!

Reply

Yay!!!! I love running gear giveaways!! :)
