Brooke’s reaction when we told her she was going to come on date night with us:
We went to downtown Palo Alto so that I could get a tour of Billy’s work. The coolest part is that we get to park there… it always takes forever to find parking in that area especially on a weekend night so this is pretty convenient.
Mr. William Jacobs’ official desk. I felt infinitely smarter just sitting in that chair. Two computer screens because one is just not enough.
After getting a full tour of the building we walked over to the Palo Alto Creamery. The menu was insane and I am confident that I could have ordered anything off of it and been happy. Very happy.
The buffalo chicken (I have a lil’ thing for buffalo sauce) sandwich jumped out at me. Everything about it was just so right.
My first thought when Billy told me that he wanted to take me to a creamery was: that means I get real food AND ice cream no matter what because it is against every rule in the rule book to go to a creamery and not get ice cream. We split the cookie dough sundae with hot fudge.
I think the sundae deserves her own picture. The whole time I was eating this I was thinking of Billy’s sweet grandma because her favorite food in the whole world is whipped cream and this sundae had a lot of it and it was the real deal…not that silly fake stuff.
Your homework today (sometimes I miss teaching so I have to give you guys homework) is to sleep in a little, have a fancier than normal breakfast and go outside and enjoy the weather (I hope it is great weather wherever you are:)
