We started Sunday off right. Presents (I could barely wait until Father’s Day to give them to him so there was no way I could wait until after breakfast to have him open them) and egg and bacon english muffin sandwiches with juice.
And then we went to church and I just had to post this picture because of that little smile of hers. It is getting out of control how cute and hilarious she is.
Can we talk about taco salads for a second? I don’t think there is anything to not like about them. They are like a taco that exploded because you filled it up with too many delicious toppings. You just can’t go wrong when you build your salad on a tortilla and have guac/salsa/ranch as your dressings.
After lunch we came home and crashed. Well, Brooke and I took a nap at least and it felt amazing. Nothing like a nap after a delicious meal.
Wow. There is a lot of food talk in this post…that is what happens when it is a rest day for me. Billy got his Father’s Day meal just the way he wanted it. Salmon, corn and homemade garlic mashed potatoes (I always add at least a little bit of my cream cheese to my mashed potatoes…makes them extra fluffy and creamy).
And then we really spoiled him for Father’s Day by watching an NBA Finals game with him without even complaining once. First time in the history of my life.
And we ate It’s-Its.
A lot of you were very confused about It’s-Its. It is okay, I didn’t know what they were before I moved to California either but I thought I would give you a cross-section view of the amazingness. It is an oatmeal cookie sandwich dipped in chocolate. Once Billy is making trillions of dollars as a lawyer I will send each and every one of you one so that you can experience it;)
