How we balance our meals:

March 4, 2013

First, let’s talk about why Billy and I are wearing our party hats!  (Okay, so this picture is really old but I couldn’t convince Billy to wear a party hat again)

IMG 0074

It is Billy’s SPRING BREAK!!!  No school all week long.  The week will be spent exploring Northern California with a healthy mixture of doing absolutely nothing.  I went into this whole ‘Billy going to law school’ thing thinking that he was going to be way more busy than he is but it actually hasn’t been so bad (he still works crazy hard but I just thought we would never see him ya know?).  Now after law school when he has a job at a firm…. that will be another story.

Back to the title of this post.    We heated up buffalo chicken wings for lunch and dipped them into ranch dressing and to balance things out we had Green Machine juice to get in a few nutrients.

DSC 9234

Brooke is obsessed with trying some of my juice.

DSC 9237

Still happy even though I didn’t share any with her.

DSC 9238

Remember how I had all of these great plans to make a delicious Sunday night dinner?  Yeah, that didn’t happen and instead I made Billy make us egg/cheese/turkey/spinach sandwiches and I put together the vanilla greek yogurt/fruit/granola parfait in the back.  (PS did you notice my new plate and place setting?  My aunt gave them to me and I am in love)

DSC 9267

After dinner we had a crazy game night.  Brooke absolutely loves cards and does everything she can to get to them.

IMG 8017

And to end the night we Face Timed with Billy’s parents and their dog Charlie.

IMG 8020

We are going to take a day trip today and of course that means eating delicious food wherever we end up going.

We are on holidays in Arizona, so I cannot wait to run outside in the sun and go on some hikes.
I think those are my two favs too, Monopoly and Catch Phrase!
I go in egg phases, eat lots then eat them rarely. I love them hard boiled.

Have an awesome first week of spin classes! I wish I was on spring break already. Unfortunately I still have another 2 weeks. Boo. I face timed with my family once. It was a real treat… my mom barely knows how to work her phone so I’m pretty sure I got motion sickness just talking to her.

Dipping chicken wings or anything into Ranch dressing is my favorite!!! I only like my eggs cooked over easy, its really the only way I can eat them

Yay for spring break!! Mine is next week. Since I am finally injury free I look forward to running between my group-ex classes this week. I love the game apple to apples and eat egg whites in my oatmeal daily. Enjoy your day!

I eat eggs all the time. I rarely have them for breakfast but have them for lunch or dinner at least once (but normally more than that) a week. I scramble them or have them in an omelette. I also like to make frittata.

Love the Purple plates and placemats!! Those would make me happy just looking at them. :)

I would like to attempt a run streak this week. Started this morning with a hard 5 miles but oh so glad I got my butt up and running this moring. (Watching a Harry Potter movie certainly helped this morning) *Need to learn to fuel before early morning runs….

I like scrambled or eggs in quiches. I love when my mom makes the Bisquick quiche recipe for family breakfasts…so yummy!

Have a great wk with Billy!

I am looking forward to doign more Jillian Shred! I decided to commit to the 30 days and today is day 15, halfway! I am on level 2 (moving up a level every 10 days) and I’m enjoying starting each day with the workouts.

I love Life and Clue when it comes to board games. If it’s an outside game, then I’ll take kickball, a pick-up game of soccer, or some freeze tag.

I probably eat eggs 2-3 times per week and I usually eat them scrambled.

I go through phases where I either love eggs or hate eggs. For the past 2 years (can that still be considered a phase?) I have been in a “hate” stage. My boyfriend LOVES them and makes them most mornings and the smell of it just makes my stomach churn. His spring break is next week, I can’t wait. I have a full-time job, so I don’t get to enjoy him as much as I would like, but he has mostly night classes and one on the weekend, so I’m excited to see more of him!! I’m a HUGE catchphrase fan. My family plays it every time we get together.

Cheers to Spring Break!

We started it with a drive to Reno so the hub could present at a conference. Sweet girl slept 9 hours of the 9.5 hours on the way back! I had to wake her up to eat, and promptly received the “why are you moving me?” look. That’s something I’ll cherish!

Oh, and eggs scare me. I can only eat them if I cannot see them (e.g. in a baked good). I used to cover them in syrup as a kid so they’d just slide down my throat. Gross, but true.

This week? Looking forward to getting lots of appointments/meetings scheduled, done, and off my plate. :)

Eggs? 3-5 times per week. Usually scrambled for breakfast, hard boiled for lunch, omelet (or scrambled, if I’m lazy) for dinner. And then…well…cookies have eggs in them, usually…sooo…..

I love hard boiled eggs!

I’m looking forward to a whole workout day! Wednesday a.m. will be speed work and p.m. will be Jillian with my girlfriends. Jillian DVDs always kick my trash and they are only better when you have friends by your side yelling at the TV with you.

Our favorite board game is Settlers of Catan, a bit more complicated but totally fantastic and you arrange the board differently every time you play so it’s always changed it. We played 3 times this weekend!

I eat eggs every single day for breakfast, usually scrambled but fried when the boy is cooking. He makes the perfect over easy egg, I always overcook them.
