Just a quick hello on Brooke’s 1/2 birthday. I am seriously considering baking a cake to celebrate this big day…. I feel like that is what a good mom would do.
It is 70 degrees and Billy got done with school at 2 so we decided to eat lunch together outside. Pasadena Chicken Salad that is the same size as my child’s head.
with a side of baby feet. Brooke is wearing her first pair of jeans ever.
It is Friday so that means it is time to party. Our definition of partying tonight = laundry and going to a very fancy restaurant (actually it is the opposite of fancy but it will be delicious).

I’ve decided we’re supposed to be BFF’s for the following reasons:
- I’m in love with my Brooks Pure shoes ( recall me emailing you about them a few weeks back?)
- I just purchased the hot pink Brooks arm warmers that I saw on here and I’m pumped about.
- I went on my first trail run today and LOVED IT!! And then proceeded to sign up for a 4 part trail race series. Holla!
- And my favorite thing in the whole universe is Yogurtland, which I’ll be eating 5 lbs. of tomorrow.

My SIL actually made half a cake once for my nephew – it was cute and I am sure my Bro and SIL enjoyed it for a few days!
You should totally make her a cake, it celebrates her 1/2 birthday and gives you an excuse to eat cake…win win

Love Brooke’s jeans! My daughter lives in her “skinny” jeans. I love that I can put them on her with anything, so we own multiple pairs.

I LOVE chubby baby feet and little toes. Gabe used to have these little Birkenstock-looking sandals (we probably got them at Target) that looked so adorable on him with his big ‘ol feet.
70 degrees = awesome! Tomorrow I’ll be in Phoenix for soccer and it’s supposed to be 74! I can’t wait!

Tried my hand at stroller running today. Don’t know how you do it.
When my babies turned 1/2 year, I made them Half a cake! (I of course froze the other half) I decorated it and didn’t put in a candle – that’s for “Real birthdays”. And Them my husband and I ate the whole thing! Best 1/2 birthday ever :-)
