Attempting a New Personal Distance Record….

with the Jogging Stroller and Brooker.  I know for a fact that she is excited to go at least 10 miles together this morning.  The farthest that I have ever gone pushing her is 8 miles so I figure if I do 11 or so this morning that actually equals a run without the stroller for 20 miles at a 6 minute pace.

I have my compression socks on and I am ready to go.  I have been wearing compression socks all week because my calves were feeling a little strange at the end of the previous week and they did the trick and my calves are magically feeling better now.

IMG 7331

My New Week’s Resolution (starting Monday, not today) is to spend a little less time on the couch.  Brooke and I both have imprints on that thing from laying there for so long yesterday.   My neck fills a little bit broken after sleeping in that position yesterday.

For dinner I made Billy’s favorite meal that his mom makes.  Get ready for the ingredients:

-1 lb hamburger meat

-2 cups elbow macaroni

-can of cream of mushroom soup

-a little bit of milk

Pretty much you just cook it all and then mix it all together.  We also load it with Tapatio.  I think Billy went back for sixths (okay, just seconds but for Billy that is a big deal).

I went on and on about how my free Yogurtland coupons expire on Sunday and how depressed I would be if they went to waste and so Billy forced me to go use them last night after dinner.

Yogurt before the best part.

Photo

Yogurt with the toppings.  I felt like focusing on Brooke’s face was more important than the froyo.  They had muddy buddy’s for toppings… brilliant.

We ate our froyo while watching The Biggest Loser.  This season is already getting crazy.

B$ and I had a deep, serious, intense conversation about who we would choose to be our personal trainer.

Screen Shot 2013 01 11 at 10 15 46 PM

I choose Dolvett, Billy chooses Bob… WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO BE YOUR PERSONAL TRAINER?!?!

Do you wear compression socks?  Have you ever?  What brand?

Did you cook last night? If yes, what did you make?

What is your personal record distance?

-28 miles by myself and 8 miles with the jogging stroller:)

Good luck today with the jogging stroller! My personal distance with a stroller is 11 and a marathon without!

Oh. Dolvett. He could train me to tie my shoes. *sigh*

LOL!! :)

Best comment ever.

My personal stroller distance record is only 5 miles, but 10 adjusted miles since I count everything as double with that monster :) Hope your run goes well!

I think Brooke is a little jealous of your yogurt!!! I don’t watch the biggest loser, but I do wear compression sleeves- not sure of they brand, they are just hot pink! I never cook- that’s why I’m marrying my amazing fiance :)

Reply

That is sooo impressive, a lot of miles with the stroller!!
I recently got(and love) pro compression socks after reading a lot of bloggers who love it!

Reply

Have a great run! You’re arms are going to be soooooreee tomorrow! Also, for a second I got worried that you were losing your candy love when I saw froyo without toppings. I felt this relief wash over me when I saw them added back in in the next picture.
Oh, and I sleep in compression sleeves on the reg. It happens.

Reply

Zensah compression socks are my favorite and have the black pair like yours! I also have zensah compression sleeves which I love. Perfect way to get the effects and keep me warm in the winter months to layer! Wish I could say I was heading out to run. Thought of you when I ran out the door yesterday for 8 miles and walked (limped) half a mile home. I’ve been battling pain in my arch and now it’s my knee. Getting it looked at next week. Bumming hard. This is what happens every time I take a break from running. Born to run I guess ;)

Reply

I think Jillian is tougher and scarier than any male trainer could ever be. She’s my pick ;)

Reply

I think I would choose bob.. but I kind of dig jillian too.. You are truly amazing.. You run a faster mile pace pushing a stroller than I can on my own! You rock!!

Reply

How do you get all these frozen yogurt coupons?
On New Years Eve in 2011 I ran the Peanut Island 12 hour race and completed just over 60 miles.

Reply

Ok I know the importance and need to run but it stresses me out that you are running with such a tiny baby in the jogging stroller – babies have so little control over their own bodies – they should really be a minimum of 6 months before running with the jogging stroller. Just being a concerned mama over here.

Reply

I have 3 boys ages 5,3 and 1 and I started running with each of them when they were 8 weeks old. The BOB reclines really nicely and glides so smoothly that the babies don’t get moved around at all.

Have fun today. My PR with a stroller is 11 miles and it was with the double BOB.

From the BOB website:
What is the age recommendation for your strollers?
A.
BOB recommends that children should be at least 8 weeks old before riding in a BOB stroller without a BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter and compatible infant car seat. Please note that babies incapable of holding their head up must have additional head and neck support to ride safely and comfortably. With the addition of the BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter and compatible infant car seat, newborns may be able to ride in the stroller. The Infant Car Seat Adapter is designed for walking only due to the higher center of gravity. This accessory will allow parents to use select infant car seats with BOB Strollers.

For jogging stroller or off-road stroller use, children should be at least 8 months old. Children develop at different rates. Prior to first use, consult with your pediatrician regarding the suitability of stroller use with your child. Please refer to the below table for age/use guidelines.

I have heard of pediatricians giving some parents to run with their infants at 6 months but never earlier. Their little heads can’t support the jostling. Please reconsider running with Brooke. As to the previous poster who ran with her kids at 8 weeks – I’m glad that they were never hurt but just because they weren’t doesn’t mean it’s safe to do.

Thanks for posting that info Katrina.

I hope you enjoy your last weekend together before B goes back to school!

Compression socks work awesome–I have CEP’s, but I really want to try ProCompression–they have such cute colors/patterns.

I love Bob, but I think I might have to choose Jillian–I am not a fan at how she swears at the contestants, but I think I would need someone who wouldn’t put up w/my excuses and I think she is good at getting to the emotional side of things..even though I know she would make me cry, all the time.

For Bernie Mayflower:Watching the TED talk in class, I learned how iocagrnphifs are used in everyday life as well as their importance in displaying information. Infographics is a great way to compare and analyze information. Most people are very visual when it comes to interpreting data and information, thus making iocagrnphifs a very useful tool. One example of an infographic is the snake oil visual that compares scientific evidence for popular health supplements. This visual is a great example of knowledge comparisson showing which supplements have scientfic evidence to support how well they work and which do not.

A marathon is my longest distance and I have zero desire to go further than that!

I would pick Dolvett to be my trainer also. I think he is awesome. I don’t think I would do well with Jillian, she yells to much for me and I am pretty sure I would tell her where to go about half way through a workout.

I just got my first pair of pro compression socks. I love the compression on my calves and around my ankles however I find the sock part to be too thin for distance runs. I normally wear thorlos so I am used to a thick pair of socks when I run. Wish they made compression socks with padding on the sock part.

Reply

I would choose Jillian!
If the 18miles during Tough Mudder count, then 18miles. If not 6miles.
I have recently bought ProCompression. Love them! And they don’t cost an arm and a leg because each month they have a 40percent off code.
Last nights dinner was homemade pizzas. So good, we use frozen bread dough for the crusts.

Reply

I would definitely choose Jillian. Do you do her CDs? I am crazy-sore afterwards, so I can imagine that I would get an even better workout in person.

Personal record for distance: 26.2 miles, not a step more! I have completed it 6 times ;)

Reply

I was just thinking about personal stroller distances while on my run yesterday. Running with a stroller is killer. I run with my stroller and dog at the same time and people cheer for me. Its pretty funny. I cant run too far with the stroller since it kills my back so my record with stroller is 5 miles – achieved yesterday. Good luck (although I know you don’t need it) .

Reply

Jillian, baby! LOve how bad ass she is!

Reply

That froyo pic makes me SO jealous!!! I do wear compression and I LOVE Pro Compression socks (the only ones I have found that are tight enough for mu skinny little legs!) I swear by aspaeris shorts for my iffy hips and hamstrings though- you just can’t beat ’em.
My personal distance record is 26.2 and that is FINE! Hah! :-)
I cooked last night after my long run and made whole wheat pasta with roasted broccoli and brussles sprouts, I added a ton of spinach and garlic too and a splash of olive oil. OMG so GOOD!!

Reply

I really love Brooke’s blanket in that picture!

Reply

Me too!
Did someone make the blanket for Brooke?

Haven’t tried compression socks yet, may have to soon after all these comments! =)

Homemade enchiladas for our family last night, big mess but so worth it!
Love having the kids and grandbabies over, a definite bonus!

Longest run; Disney Marathon 1995

Reply

I have a pair of compression socks but I think they are too tight. They are argyle and it leaves that print on my leg – is that normal? They also kind of hurt my funky toenails. Anyway……………….I love biggest loser and I don’t know anyone else that watches it!! I would pick Bob, but really I would take any of them! They would all be awesome! Have a great run with Brooke!

Reply

DEFINITELY I would pick Bob- no contest!!
I don’t wear compression socks but I want to try some sooooo bad.
I made veggie subs and sweet potato fries last night, and it was amazing.
Longest distance by myself- 26.2
Longest distance with the jogging stroller- 12 miles (and yes I was sore for days)

Reply

My husband would love that recipe. It sounds very midwestern! You are one amazing woman for pushing that stroller so far!! Have a great day :)

Reply

Personal longest distance is 26.2 and it’s not going to get any longer! ;) I would soooo choose Jillian, but I really like all of the trainers. Happy weekend!!

Reply

Janae, what are your thoughts on compression socks vs. compression sleeves?

Reply

I wear compression socks all the time (ProCompression). And who would I choose for my trainer? I’d probably also go with Bob.
Personal distance is the nice 26.2 miles. Hope to be able to do at least 30 one of these days.

Reply

We called that hamburger casserole growing up. Chris knows i need to revert to feeling 10 when I pull out that comfort food.

I would pick Bob for sure.

Happy Run!

Reply

I would choose Jillian because she scares me and I’d be afraid that if I didn’t hit my fitness goals she’d punch me in the face thus I’d be super shredded.
Quick question… I am running my first Marathon (Phoenix Rock & Roll 1/20) and for some reason I am stressing out about my wardrobe after hearing horror stories from my runner friends about chaffing, bleeding etc. The temp should be in the 50’s to start and move into high 60’s/low 70’s which is no biggie cause I’ve been training in soggy cold Portland. Do you have any www’s (wardrobe words of wisdom)? I would REALLY appreciate it! I am about your same size and can eat as much as my 6’2″ police officer bf. I read your blog every morning with my coffee and I think you’re awesome! Thank you!!
Kelley

Reply

I think I would choose Jillian bc she’s terrifying so I wouldn’t slack off lol have fun on your run! I live compression socks.

Reply

Maybe you have already done a post on this, but could you maybe talk about how much time you put in weekly to train for a marathon. It’s something I reallllyyyy wanna do, but people are telling me that I don’t have time to be running like that. I would like to get a basic idea on what you think it good for a runner with a few halfs in the book.

Hope you and Brooke had a good run this morning!

Reply

I’d choose Bob for sure but I like them all.

I made grilled lemon chicken and steamed broccoli. I don’t know how you guys eat what you eat :) I get the running burns it off but so many processed things…I die. :) I am always cracking up at it all.

I run in CEP compression socks. They are awesome.

Oh and keep running with the baby she’s fine. ;)

Personal distance 13.1 and I won’t go farther.I’m a 10k girl.

Reply

I’m a big fan of compression socks/ sleeves! I wear them a lot after long or hard runs for recovery. I find they make a big difference the next day! I like CEP sleeves for recovery and Zensah sleeves for running (I find them stretchier and less tight).

You are a ROCKSTAR for running 10 miles with a stroller!! So awesome!

Reply

I would love for Jillian to be my trainer. She’s amazing.

Reply

I have one of those “quick” meal recipes too – similar to Billy’s favorite. Burger meat, cheddar cheese soup, milk to slightly thin & one can of sliced potatoes. Not the healthiest – but yummy!

Reply

I would choose Bob! I love the way he trains and does not yell as much as Jillian. I love Jillian and Dolvett is awesome but I think Bob would be the best fit for me!

I’ve only been running for year on/off so the farthest I’ve run without stopping is about 2.80 miles. Not far but am working on it:)

You are awesome! Pushing a stroller and running 11 miles!

Reply

Happy to hear about the Titleist Velocity. Just attended a golf show in Columbus, OH and there were tdnasuohs of balls for sale. I bought a dozen Velocity for $9.95 displayed as near perfect . Am anxious to give them a try soon.

Reply

I’m going to be brave and pick Jillian although I LOVE Bob & all his tattoos. He is my tattoo hero. I don’t know Dolvett that well because I skipped his first season. I will try compression socks one day but I wear running capris mostly and I don’t think compression socks and capris is a good look. When it gets warm enough to run in shorts (and I’m brave enough to bare a few inches on my legs), I’m going to find me some cute ones & see how they feel.

Reply

I would choose Bob! Jillian scares me even when I do her DVD’s. I’ve ran 26.2… not .1 longer than that! Hope your run goes well today!

Reply

Compression? HECK YEAH. I’m a Zensah girl at the moment, but my allegiance may be flexible if someone else comes out with an equally good product, preferacly with awesome sayings, or skulls, on them. ;-)

I’m a big dork who doesn’t watch The Biggest Loser, so I can’t weigh in on the trainer choice. But I think whoever prefers cardio over strength training. ;-)

I totally did not cook last night. My husband took me out for dumplings. They were delicious, and effortless…. :)

Reply

Yum! I wear compression socks that are my husbands because I am too cheap to buy a pair. :) Personal distance would be 14 miles. And I would probably want Jillian. Any tips for a first marathon training plan?

Reply

Make sure you get in at least 2 20 mile runs in your training plan. That way if your first 20 mile run goes poorly, you’ve got another shot. You need the mental fortitude of knowing you can make it 20… because you can obviously make it 6 and that’s all you’ll have left after you pass that hurdle in the race!

Reply

I made chicken ranch tacos last night. Super easy. Only now I think I broke my crock pot and that makes me very sad.

Yes I have worn compression socks – I have Pro Compression. They are amazing.

The farthest I have ever ran is 26.4 miles. And 5 with a jogging stroller. lol. You will do awesome today though. You always do! So have fun. And I think your conversion to it equaling 20 miles ay a 6 min pace is completely legit! ;)

I can’t believe you chose DOLVET! Pffft. Not sure we can be friends anymore! Bob or Jillian FTW!

Reply

I don’t watch the BL, but I would totes choose Jillian, she’s so hard core!
I love compression…socks, sleeves, anything. I pretty much live in them! I wear them to exercise, work, and for recovery. I own Zensah and 2XU.
Had fish tacos for dinner last night made by my husband’s cousin for their grandmas 83rd birthday! Yum :-)
My PDR is 26.2, which I will run again in the morning. Disney marathon here I come!

Reply

Dolvett FOR SURE!! He is so inspirational and not too bad on the eyes either :)

Reply

I would definitely choose Jillian! I listen to her podcast all the time and I think she is actually empathetic and down-to-earth. Plus, I could probably use a good butt kicking. ;-D

Reply

I haven’t had a chance to watch Biggest Loser yet!!! That’s the first show I’ll be catching up with when I get home! And I LOVE compression socks!

Reply

Bob! For sure!

Reply

I’ve never tried compression socks. I’m not sure how I feel about the “look”? Maybe I’ll get over that and try some.. some day??

Most I ever ran by myself.. 13.2 miles, right before I actually ran the half.

How do you run a 6 min mile for 20 miles? Holly Cow!!! That’s fast! My 1 mile time.. for only 1 mile was 6.39 and I was dying!!!

Reply

I LOVE that BL trainer question, my husband and I discuss it every week!! I would pick Bob. My husband would pick Jillian. Good luck with the stroller run… That is a LONG way!’

Reply

I’m not sure I’d pick any personal trainer – I can’t stand Jillian (I’ve read some interviews about fitness that she’s done, her views and my views do not get along) and I don’t like people telling me how to workout :) I think it stems from my horrible memories from gym class and being picked on in grade school. A kickball to the face will do that to a person :) I think my Nike DryFit are semi-compression, they have some bands around the arch area, and they are my favorite socks. They make my shoes feel 10x more spongy just from wearing them!

I made a baked salmon with a honey/mustard/brown sugar glaze with rice last night. Very good. The glaze is from a Men’s Health magazine (best magazine ever).
And my personal record distance is a little over 16 miles outside with no water in the summer heat. Personal treadmill would be 24 half marathons consecutively (January 2011, tried 4 in a row, and had to stop; then February 2012, did 13 13.1 in 13 days; then this past summer in July 2012, did 7 halves in 7 days – all but one was sub-2 hour.)

Reply

That froyo looks delicious! I would choose Bob.. Although I think Jillian has an effective way of training I wouldn’t be able to handle her. Bob is much more soft but still has that desire to win.

Reply

I love all the trainers but I think I’d go with Jillian. I’m afraid Dolvet’s hotness would be too distracting:)

Reply

wow running with a stroller AND matching socks?! big day! ha… it’s rare for me to have a matching pair, I swear the washing machine eats them. personal running distance record was 26.2 and a few more steps to get myself right into the hot tub :) have a great weekend!

Reply

I’ve never tried compression socks. My personal distance record are 13 miles that I ran accidentally because I got lost. But I want to try a marathon one of these days (have been wanting to do that for years).
I didn’t think running with a stroller was that hard! Wow! On e other hand, I imagine pushing that thing for 10 miles… It must be really fun for Brooke! :-)

Reply

i have yet to get any compression socks!! i need to super badly, still waiting for an amazing sale though ;) i think i would choose jillian, the way she trains is how i would. that or bob. my personal distance record is 13.1 miles, hoping that i will be able to get near that today!!

Reply

I have been craving fro yo and the weather is warm enough to grab some this weekend! I am definitely on Team Bob! I’d love him as my PT and I think we’d be BEST FREINDS FOREVER…Haha!

Reply

I’d chose Dolvett as well! He’s my ideal trainer. I just love him. Although I wouldn’t mind getting a one on one session with any of them!

Reply

My personal stroller distance is 8K (about 5 miles) and my personal distance sans stroller is a half-marathon. I was super happy last year to run a sub-30 “stroller” 5K in one race. I remember one guy yelling as I passed him “Noooo, I can’t let the lady with the stroller beat me!”. I ended up getting photographed in one race that I had to take Max with me and the caption said “lady runs with stroller – that’s hard!” :-D

Reply

I’d pick Bob. I have at home DVD of Jillian and Bob. His are the best/worst, I’m sure in person he would do a lot more damage.

Reply

I would choose Jillian – she kicks my butt when I do her DVDs and I love her no nonsense attitude!

I have CEP compression sleeves (you know, for compression at work under dress pants) and PRO Compressiom socks in hot pink for any other time. My goal is to train for a marathon this year so I probably need to invest in a few more pairs!

Reply

I love these questions.

If I wasn’t married….Bob. So yummy. In real life, Jillian because her abs motivate me and she scares me enough to conform.

I cooked vegetarian tacos last night with sweet potatoes, chilis, and black beans. Amazing!

Personal distance record is 15 miles. I’m wearing compression socks right now (I just finished 6.5 miles) and they one the one piece of clothing that my husband HATES. He doesn’t mind going anywhere in running clothes, but if I’m sporting compression socks, he suggests we go home and change. Luckily, he is at school all day, so I can rock my compression socks in the comfort of our house until he gets back.

Reply

I love my compression sock/sleeves. My personal distance is 26.6, on my garmin MCM this year

Reply

Bob – no doubt – though I do have an abs crush on Jillian.
I wear 2XU compression socks. I really want to try compression calf sleeves though. They’re just cooler looking than the full on socks.
Personal distance – 26.5.

Reply

Dolvett all the way – no question!

Reply

I’ll be having a baby later in the spring. I was wondering if you typically have to stop a lot when running with the stroller, like if the baby starts crying, or throwing things out of the stroller, etc.

Reply

I would choose Dolvett! I love the way he motivates. I think he is so positive and the things he says would pump me up. I would not like someone yelling in my face and telling me to get out of the gym. That would just annoy me and make me mad. I do like Bob too, but Dolvett would be my first choice.

Reply

Good luck on your run today!! Have fun.

I would totally pick Bob as my trainer. I’ve always loved him.

My longest run has been 13.1 miles. Maybe someday I will do a full marathon.

I wear the Pro Compression socks. LOVE them. I just ordered 2 more pairs.

Reply

Love my Pro Compression socks. I even bought the black ones so I could wear them to work if I needed to. Really help my calves recover, just wish I had a pair to also cover the quads and hamstrings.

Reply

I could go for a good fro yo right now. I haven’t had any since Evan arrived, four months ago. I just like plain yogurt with one topping though – everyone things I’m weird that I don’t load the toppings on. However, I make really bad flavor-mixing decisions, so I can’t be trusted to combine things.

My longest run was 26.2 miles – I haven’t ever felt inclined to go longer. Although when I ran the Country Music Marathon, my friend and I walked two miles back to the hotel after the marathon, and then walked around and art museum (I’m not sure what we were thinking). By the end of the art museum I was just sitting on the benches they have in the middle of the exhibit rooms and turning around to look at the paintings.

Yesterday I cooked fish tacos. They turned out pretty good. My husband just ate the leftovers for lunch.

Enjoy your weekend!

Reply

I think I would choose Dolvett too. I like Jillian and I like Jillian’s workout DVDs, but on the show she is just scary and I think she’d make me cry and then she’d yell at me more and kick me out of the gym and that would just be counter productive. And I like Bob, but Bob has that scary side too (he made that guy on Jillian’s team cry last week, yikes!). So yeah, definitely Dolvett.

I have not worn compression socks before, but I just bought some from Pro Compression and can’t wait to try them – especially because I’ve been dealing with sore calves lately just on walks. Weird.

No cooking last night, had a GIANT lunch at Outback (yum). And my personal record distance is still a half marathon – 13.1 miles. One day I will break out of my comfort zone!

Reply

Pushing a jogging stroller stresses totally different muscles so maybe your calves felt weird from that. Or maybe it was just all the crazy insane trails you’ve been rocking.

Awkward confession: When your blog was loading your orange shorts looked like some sort of weird stomach at first and I couldn’t figure out whose gut it was.

I would choose Dolvett – hands down. Bob would be my second choice. Jillian gets stellar results, but I don’t think I’d enjoy working with her.

Reply

I love compression socks and I’m actually wearing the exact same pair as you, haha. I would choose Jillian as my trainer, she seems really tough but deep down I think she really cares…I love her podcasts

Reply

I wear PRO Compressions socks for running walking and under my pants at work, and I just love them! Also, I’m pretty sure I would want Jillian as my trainer, but I don’t know why!

Reply

I’m pretty sure I would choose Bob because he’s tough but does not scream at you like Jillian does; although, she has scaled back this season due to complaints from her team… Which I find wierd.

BTW, I live in compression socks whether my calfs are sore or not. Considering I do not run anymore, I just wear them completely because they are comfortable haha.

Reply

Hmm I’d have to pick bob. I have a mini crush on him :)
And my longest distance would have to be a half marathon.

I’d love me some compression socks but just can’t seem to fork out the cash for them…

Reply

I think I would choose Dolvett as my trainer. Hard to choose….they all have such great qualities.

I’ve worn compression socks a couple times….ProCompression is the brand. I’ve never worn them WHILE running, just recovery.

I didn’t cook last night….rather, I tried PEANUT BUTTER TOAST CRUNCH for the first time. I had high hopes. It was good/fine, but I think I prefer regular Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Personal distance record = 27.2 miles (ran a marathon and then ran the last mile again when my brother was finishing).

Reply

I love compression socks!
I also love Menchie’s – our Froyo place in town.
I think I would pick Jillian even though I think she was a little over the top at the premier showing.

Reply

That froyo looks divine! My personal record distance is 36kms – not sure what this is in miles sorry – maybe 22ish? Watch this space for the PR distance with a buggy too :)
And I have actually never tried compression socks but this year I might just give them a go since all the cool peeps are talking about them and using them.

Reply

Oh – I have actually run 2 marathons – but I thought you were meaning running on your own… Oops.

Reply

Awww Brooke is absolutely adorable! The froyo looks great btw!

Reply

Compression socks are the best. They make my legs and feet so happy. I never run in them and just wear them for recovery.

I would pick Bob for my trainer. I like his glasses. They make me smile.

My distance record is 28 miles. That’s how long my only marathon ended up being including distance up the start, zigzagging, and a port-a-potty break. I’m more of a half kind of girl so that’s going to stay my record.

Reply

Wow, 28 miles is a lot of miles! I didn’t really cook last night since I had the house to myself and would only be cooking for one. Just made some organic macaroni and cheese.

Reply

I really really really want to hear how your run went! I can’t put G in the jogging stroller yet…we are still running with the adapter on her regular stroller. (But her regular stroller is made for running, with the big tires) But I cannot wait until we can do a run in the jogging stroller…it’s just sitting there patiently waiting- haha! The longest she has gone with me is 6 miles…so far. But next week we are going to attempt 7. I hope she’s up for it ;)
Ok, so I’m totally writing that recipe down to make- love, quick and easy recipes…and this one sounds delish. I love cream of mushroom soup. & mixed with pasta & ground turkey (just changing that part :) ) would be perfect.
OH & I’ve been meaning to tell you my fro yo secret…put some toppings on the bottom of the cup before you add fro yo…that way you have toppings to look forward to at the end, and they don’t all run out in the beginning. I’m such a nerd ;)

Reply

My personal distance record is 13.1 miles and I will never run that far again. LOL

Have you ever read Steve in a Speedo? http://iwannagetphysical.blogspot.com/ He writes about running w/ his son in the jogging stroller a lot. He logs how many miles a year they go etc.

I love the couch photo and I think you should just switch positions so you avoid making indentations. No need to couch-lie less! :)

Reply

I would choose Bob! He’s always been my favorite, even though I have a couple Jillian Micheals workout videos. I am actually doing Ripped in Thirty right now. It is definitely one of the toughest 20 minutes of working outs I have ever done! It is totally humbling for this marathon runner that I have to pause it at times to catch my breath :-)

I wear compression socks when I race or during long runs. I have a pair of CEP in white and a pair of black sleeves.

Reply

what brand compression socks do you wear? im looking to get some but dont wanna spend an arm and a leg =/

Reply

Hey! They are from zensah’s!

Reply

This season is so good so far! I would choose Bob because he’s a big Crossfit advocate and I just started Crossfit. But I want to pick Dolvett. He seems so motivational.

Reply

I would pick Bob for sure!

I have ProCompression socks and sleeves in hot pink and purple. Love them!

What is your personal record distance? 4 miles because I am hardcore like that.

Reply

Oh man, you’re killing me with the fro yo pictures. I’ve been craving it for a while now. We’re trying to be super frugal this month, to help save a little extra cash for the upcoming bundle of joy. But next month, I’m getting me some frozen yogurt! ;)

Reply

I love all of the trainers but I’d probably go with Bob! He seems like the perfect balance of tough and encouraging.

Reply

I’ve heard that running with the jogging stroller is a crazy good workout. I’m thinking about buying one and borrowing someones baby because that is legit!

I haven’t ever tried compression socks, but as I’m building up my mileage, I’m really thinking about trying some out.

I’d choose Bob. I haven’t watched too much of The Biggest Loser, but I was planning to start this season. I suppose I should get on that… And the farthest I’ve ever ran was 16 miles. Today, the plan is to do it again because I have a marathon coming up.

I love Bob. :)
I have lots of sleeves and socks.
My zensahs are cute, but they’re not really compression-y enough for me. I wear them when it’s a little cooler, to keep me warm.
I love my Pro Compression for most long runs and recovery. They’re the perfect middle ground!
My CEP sleeves are the real deal. I wear those when I’m running or recovering from any multi-day races or extra long distances. :)

I think I’d want Jillian to be my trainer, but I’m also afraid that she would make me cry, so maybe I’d rather have Bob.

My PDR is 26.2 miles. I’m considering an ultra this year, so it might change, but I’m pretty happy where I am.

I LOVE compression, socks, sleeves, shorts, you name it!

Jillian! Definitely Jillian! I love her.

I hope you had a great run!

I would totally choose Bob!

I have two pairs of ProCompression-love them! I went with the argyle blue and khaki… Love. I’m also trying a pair of Red Lion compression sleeves-not so much love.. I do like the sleeve as variety for the socks, but the Red Lion brand isn’t enough compression for me.

We made a variation of P.F. Chang’s lettuce wraps! So great. Our immediate comment, was, ‘we can do this better!’ (It was from a box). :)

I’ve been wearing the Pro Compression socks I got for Christmas. No complaints but I’m not sure of the benefit yet.

I’d choose Dolvett because I think he is super sexy and because of that, I’d work harder to surely impress him!

Distance PR is 26.2 (plus the extra mile of running back to run it in with my big sister!) but I hope to break that this weekend at a 50k!

She is getting so big!!! I would definitely chose Jillian to be my trainer because she would scare me into doing whatever I needed to do. My personal distance goal is 26.62!

I love all three trainers, but if I had to choose it would be Bob.

I would chose Bob, but Dolvett is nice to look at.

I used to call Bob, My boyfriend Bob because I thought I would always pick him for my trainer (if I ever had the chance) but now, I would totally go with Dolvett!

For leg compression I wear either ProCompression socks or Zensah leg sleeves.

PD records for me are the marathon I ran sunday (Disney) where my Garmin logged me at 26.8 miles and I’ve done up to 10 with the jogging stroller. My toddler won’t tolerate anything longer than that.

WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO BE YOUR PERSONAL TRAINER?!?!

I would go Jillian all the way – it may sound masochistic but I love someone screaming in my face. It really pumps me up to finish the workout.

Do you wear compression socks? Have you ever? What brand? I have CEP, I think they’re the same as yours except mine have a black toe.

Did you cook last night? If yes, what did you make? I had tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches

What is your personal record distance? 26.2!
