Favorite things about today!!!
I just got my PLANE ITINERARY in my email. This means that I am officially going to Utah for two full weeks of mom/sister/cousin/dad/brothers/sister-in-laws/utah bf’s/nieces/nephew time. I leave a week from Monday get excited for family and Cafe Rio overload on the blog.

Lizzie had an extra In-Styler (remember how mine broke because I like to throw things on the floor) so she sent it to me and it is PURPLE.
She also sent those adorable onsies and Brooke is already the little fashion diva in her striped outfit. Another favorite about today is that Brooke loves holding my hand and I love holding hands so just FYI I am typing this with one hand because my other hand is too busy holding a sleeping babies hand.

I bought this ice cream flavor for billy because I thought he would love it since it is football themed and manly and included little chocolate footballs but I tried some and I am banning him from even trying it because I want it all to myself.
I get to go run outside tomorrow morning because Billy will be home. I did 10 miles on the treadmill this morning at an average pace of 8:09 and could not stop thinking about how awesome it is going to feel to run on an actual road and not my patio:)
PS it was so cold on my run this morning I had to wear sleeves. (I am trying to convince my parents to move here by saying stuff like that while it is currently snowing at their house)

Yay for you going to Utah! Does Billy get to go with you guys for part of it at least? I have lots of friends who are lawyer wives who fly home for around a month in the summer and a month at the holidays – their hubs join them for a small part of that vacation.
My mom lives 1 hour south of us so we’ll go down to her house for Thanksgiving which is nice. My husband parents will be visiting from Germany 1.5 weeks after thanksgiving so that will be good for him too to get to see them sometime “around” the holidays – and for his birthday!
Favorite things about today:
#1 Spending an hour at the running store trying on shoes with my hubby
#2 We are going to the climbing wall tonight – I haven’t been in FOREVER and am really looking forward to getting back into it! I’ll be really upset if I break something because my second half marathon is coming up in 4 weeks and this one is FLAT so I’m so excited about that lol. (First race ever = super hilly half marathon, what was I thinking?!)

My favorite thing about today was that I ran in a free 5k fun run and somehow managed to set a PR even though I was just doing it for fun!
My parents are staying with my Dad’s family for Thanksgiving and they live about an hour from my house, so that is where I will be for the holiday.

My favorite thing about today is a friend dropping off food so I don’t have to cook tonight! That’s 3 nights this week that people have brought me food. Definitely one of the perks of having a baby.

I love Janae’s blog and have been reading forever, but this is actually my first comment–I just wanted to say we have the same first and middle names, too funny! I rarely meet anyone with either of my names, and have never met anyone with both :) I used to hate my middle name when I was younger but now I appreciate that it’s unique. It’s a family name on my mother’s side; she’s from Northern Ireland and Louise is a lot more popular in the UK. If I have a daughter that will be her middle name too!

I am so jealous that you are still running outside. Have so much fun tomorrow. I am planning on doing my run on the treadmill. I was hoping for at least 10, but my cold has moved into my chest and it feels tight so I think I will have to play it by ear. I only run outside when it is cold if I have someone else there to make me do it. We better still go for a run when you are here!
This will be the first Thanksgiving without my family :( But I am sure the Caribbean will help take my sadness away.
Not loving the snow today. But I did love that it made my kids want to snuggle extra in our bed this morning. Anna is TERRIFIED of the wind, so I tried to make the morning fun by watching a movie with them & making hot cocoa (with milk and real chocolate and butterscotch – you should be proud). Plus I like to use my kids as an excuse to do things I love doing, but don’t seem appropriate at my age, and then saying ‘it was for the kids’

I am leaving a week from monday to go to florida for thanksgiving…I havent been back there in almost a year and i am ecstatic to see my aunts/uncles/mom/brother/sister/BFFFS etc.
So far today has been the best day all week because i found out my BFFFFFF who lives in michigan will be in florida visiting her family for thanksgiving too…and she is bringing her incredibly adorable baby Eva. BEST.NEWS.EVER!!!! I also put up christmas decorations…never too early!

When my son was born he would go right to sleep when he held my hand. So we did that until he was a year old. I was so nervous he would be a difficult transition. On his first birthday we put him in his crib without the hand holding and he went straight to sleep. I think the hand holding was so reassuring and safe for him, he knew we would always be there. You should always do it.

My favorite thing today was getting a HUGE compliment from a client at Sephora right in front of my boss. It was a great moment because I got a lot of praise for some great customer service and then I was given a client and she was thrilled with her makeover and said I was an amazing makeup artist. My head blew up to the size of a blimp, and I’m not even one. But, I’m overjoyed with happiness that I can actually make someone’s day.
