She’s so adorable!! I’m definitely not ready for my own kids right now, but it’s things like having my heart warmed by Brooke’s first vlog (too cute!) that make me certain that I do. At one point in my life, I was so caught in the depths of my eating disorder that I had convinced myself that I didn’t want kids because I didn’t want to get pregnant and gain weight. But I know now that I’d love to be a mother. One of my life’s wishes is to be able to enjoy my child’s birthday cake without the slightest fear or anxiety. It’s videos like this that keep me motivated for that future!!

you might enjoy trying out b’s “step reflex” (it’s also called the dancing, running, or walking reflex…we’ll call it the running reflex in her case :p) we did a lot of playing around with newborn reflexes on my pediatrics rotation- you should try a few with her! (like the “rooting reflex”- stroke her cheek and she’ll turn her head towards the finger stroke anticipating getting ready to nurse).

Without a doubt, the most beatiful baby I have ever seen! Isn’t it funny how when you are around babies you speak unconsciously speak ‘baby-talk’? I’ve been a nanny for the past 7 years for 4 families (not all at once!), all having babies when I first started. Withouth fail, each time I started with a new family, the baby-talk returned. I now watch two babies-a boy and a girl. Exessive amounts of babytalk are spoken. Sometimes I’m afraid it won’t switch off before I return home. Annnyways….Congratulations to you and Billy!!! : )
