You won’t believe who I met.

Okay, this is only going to be cool to those of you that are obsessed with reality tv like me but just pretend you are excited for me either way.

Meet my new bff Jef from this season of the Bachelorette.  He is in the final 4 (she meets their families on next Monday’s episode) and wouldn’t tell me whether or not he won because it is against the rules but he did say if he had to pick between me and Emily he would have picked me.

We asked Jef about the really awkward scene from the latest episode when they were playing with the puppets in the library and he told us the whole time he kept thinking about how ridiculously embarrassing it was going to be when it aired.

My cutest sister-in-law invited us to a blogger/social media lover meet and mingle put on by Soel Boutique and of course I jumped on that offer.  We didn’t find out Jef was going to be there until about 2 minutes before, Billy was obviously super excited because he loves the show so much.

DSC 2116

They had a lot of food from different restaurants in the area and one of the tables of food was dedicated to amazing desserts.  They had ginger snap cookies that were the size of a small plate and they were my favorite part along with the Italian Sodas.  Can we talk about how cute the straw is?

DSC 2119

You know that you put on the correct amount of whip cream when it becomes lopsided because it is too heavy.

DSC 2143

It was an awesome night and they had great giveaways too.  I won a gift card to a local restaurant and some new Essie nail polish.

We didn’t know that the event would have food and I had my apple, bleu cheese, chicken and pecan salad before we left.  The raspberry dressing they give you to go with it is especially delicious.

Did you know Wendy’s now offers mac and cheese, sweet potatoes and strawberry shortcake?  Mcdonalds is going down.

Looks like a fun night!

A couple of months ago, Kim and Klhoe Kardashian came to my moms work and I got to go see them. I didn’t actually meet them, but I was only a few feet away.

Feta cheese is my favorite cheese ever!

PLEASE stop letting Billy reuse water bottles if they are made from plastic- the plastic wears away overtime and becomes carcinogenic! I’m loving goats cheese now- SO good!

What a fun event! Jef looks so cool.

Awww have fun at the doctors appt!!!! I am looking forward to spending the morning w/the husband and toddler before I have to go to work.

Do cream cheese and cottage cheese count as cheese?

Have a marvelous Wednesday!

Aww, Have a great time listening to baby Hungry Runner’s heartbeat. My favorite little thing is fountain soda. I get it rarely and never buy it for the house but every once in awhile my husband will bring it home for me. Something about it, I LOVE it. It’s like an automatic $1 mood booster.

How fun that you met Jef! I once saw Paula – who is on all of the Real World/Road Rules Challenge type things on MTV when I was out in Hartford, CT. I took a picture of her.. and had a $20 in my hand.. so it looked like I was paying her $20 for the picture. Womp!!

That’s so wacky that you met Jef with one F! My boyfriend and I obsessively watch The Bachelorette and I didn’t even think he would make it this far!

I LOVE blue cheese, but I am on a serious goat cheese kick right now.

Have fun at the Dr- very exciting day!!!

He looks much cuter in your photos than on the show, good job. ; )

You are too pretty to be pregnant. That’s all.

Reply

That cracks me up about Billy and the waterbottles. You should get him a sodastream and he can make his own sparkling waters in his reusable waterbottles.

I was once on TRL and met Carson Daly, but that’s about as exciting as it gets for me.

I always think of you when they interview Jef on the Bachelorette and wonder if you’ll run into him. I’m so happy to see that you finally did! The event looks really fun, glad you enjoyed all that whipped cream goodness. :)

I met Adam Sandler in college, in front of a barber shop around the corner from my apartment. He did some weird shadow boxing move to my roommate and me when we walked by, and yelled, “Bring it on, ladies!” My roommate said something pretty rude back, and we kept on walking. We got about 20 feet down the street when we figured out who it was. We walked back and talked to him. She apologized, he said he liked being yelled at like that, and he took off his hat and asked if we liked his haircut. Apparently he was waiting for his buddy to get his haircut. He was in town for a show at our university that night. He was short! And friendly.

I am an equal opportunity cheese lover. My faves are brie, blue, and feta, but there isn’t a cheese I won’t eat (except head cheese).

i don’t know who he is, but he is handsome. spoken to Prince Charles and shook his hands- some people might not want to count that one though!

I am obsessed with the Bachelorette and reality TV so I am SO JEALOUS that you got to meet one of the guys! I love Jef and the more I see of him the more I think he is a good fit for Emily…I agree with someone else in the comments who said he looks cuter in your pics too lol How tall is he though???

I’ve never actually met anyone famous but Amber Brkich, who was on Survivor twice (she won All-Stars) AND the Amazing Race, is from Beaver PA, the town where I live! :) She lives in the south now with her husband but she used to be in local parades and stuff in town and we’d see her around lol

Reply

so jealous you met Jef! I am obsessed with the Bachelorette and I literally had to cover my face during the puppet scene I was so embarrassed for them, ha!

I have read all of the spoilers I could find about the show…so far they are accurate!

I love that first picture. You are like “oh, you are so funny, we are bff, hahaha” :)

I met Orlando Bloom in Heathrow Airport once. I was having an AWFUL morning–it was 6 am, my luggage was lost, and I was supposed to meet a group at the airport, but their flight was cancelled, and the flight status hadn’t been updated on the screens at Heathrow yet….so I waited at baggage claim for 3 hours. He was waiting at the same baggage claim…it certainly made my morning better!

I love cheese!! Colby is probably my favorite right now. I eat it a lot – it is a great source of protein for a healthy snack! I also like specialty cheeses but I don’t get to eat them that much.

Um what I’m looking forward to?? Probably as crazy as it sounds getting a lot of projects done on my to-do list! And a good day of practice in. Sad, I know.

Pretty much ALL the little things make me happy – nail polish, my favorite color of plate, special cups, bowls, and mugs, lip gloss, cute headbands – there are too many awesome little things to name!! :)

BTW, I LOVE reading your blog! Just randomly discovered it and it makes me Laugh!! (Or at least smile! :) It is just basically A.m.a.z.in.g.!! :))

Want to hear something crazy? We just met a celebrity on Friday too!! And it was all because of my daughter! She has waaaaaaayyyy more guts than I do (she’s only eight) and walked right up to him!! Of course I blogged about it and emailed him the link after my hubs threw in a shameless plug about my blog when we were posing for pictures with him. It’s a running joke in our family that if you want to meet some one famous, hang out with her for a day. No kidding…we’ve met three famous people (ok, two of them are only really famous in Texas, but still) because of her. One of them was Dodie Osteen, our pastor Joel Osteen’s mother, at a restaurant and my daughter just walked right up to say hi and give her a hug! We ended up talking to her and her companions for about 20 minutes!

What am I looking forward to today? Two more days of summer school and then I am off for the rest of the summer! :)

Something really cheap that makes me happy? Peanut butter. ‘Nuff said!

THAT IS SO COOL!!! I’m jealous haha. I’ve seen Hugh Jackman in real life, up close! We stood outside of the backstage door of the broadway theater in NYC he was performing in like 8 years ago…and he came out and was pure handsome haha.

I love spending my money on water bottles…. I have no idea why because I have so many I barely use them all….and go figure I forget my water bottle at home and I’m going to the gym after work. Boo.

Mmm lovin’ swiss cheese lately! : )

I worked on an awards show a few years ago and I got to meet Michael Buble, Justin Bieber (just as bratty as you’d expect), and a bunch of other Canadian celebrities! It was pretty fun but incredibly stressful!

I love water bottles also! haha

I loooove Jef! He and Arie are my favorites. I am so nervous about who she picks!
When I was in college on spring break, Sheryl Crow was vacationing in the same neighborhood as I was. We never got up the nerve to talk to her, but hung out mere feet away from her on the beach! Also, they film a lot of stuff in Atlanta so I’ve seen Melissa McCarthy, Margaret Cho, and Jasmine Guy around town in the past year.
I am most looking forward to having dinner at my parents’ tonight and playing with their sweet dog!
Dunkin’ Donuts caramel iced coffee makes me very happy! I can trick myself into thinking I am drinking a caramel latte which is more expensive!
I love bleu cheese! It’s by far my favorite.

OH MY GOSH… Jef is my favorite.. he just is adorable. I woulda held him down until he told me if he won!!

That is so cool!! I’ll admit I wasn’t really into Jef until this week’s episode but now I really like him.

I’ve been to a few tapings of Anderson Cooper’s talk show so at least I’ve been in the same room as him :P And I saw Regis Philbin at the airport; all we said to each other was Hi but I still freaked out! lol

Ahhh he’s in the final four?!?! I am a couple weeks behind! So exciting!! I met the first Bachelorette (Trista) and her husband (Ryan). I think they are the only couple that is still together!! I also saw one of the Olsen twins (don’t know which one). I was standing right next to her in a store one time but didn’t know it was her until she walked away and an employee went bananas. If I had known I probably would have jumped on her. I LOVED Full House!! haha!

I’m looking forward to a run on the TM today while watching The Bachelorette so I can CATCH UP!

THAT IS SO COOL. I definitely would have been way too excited haha! I looove nail polish. I wish I could buy like every color. Favorite type of cheese is goat cheese for sure.

I have a serious obsession with whipped cream and have had a whole can to myself in one night. Lets just say I felt pretttty sick when I was done, but it was worth it. Today I’m going to dinner with my friends which is always exciting! I really haven’t met any famous people besides Tera Moody (runner) on the beach in Florida! I feel like I’ve seen some others but my tired brain can’t remember right now…

I am equally obsessed with reality TV and not ashamed! I would’ve been excited too!

I have never really met anyone famous. But I always look when I am in airports especially, yes I am a creep ;)
Coffee date with my BF and her little boy.
Starbucks! In the scheme of things this is cheap, but not for coffee. haha. I treat myself once a week!
I eat cheese 1-2 times a week, and right now its a tie between goat cheese (had in on a awesome salad yesterday) and havarti cheese.

Reply

As if you met Jef from The Bachelorette! It makes me so happy that you talked to him about that awkward puppet scene! hahahha

On my last trip to Vegas I saw Jerry Springer. Except I said, “who is that old guy and why does everyone want to take a picture with him?” And then I realized who it was. Whoops! I naturally went up to him to take a picture and tell him I was comign to the America’s Got Talent auditions even though I had full intentions on seeing the Cirque du Soleil LOVE show that night. Sorry Jerry. Cirque will always win.

Reply

I used to live ~6 houses away from LL Cool J and I saw him in his car ONCE! once!! I saw his kids allll the time, but he was like gone-zo.
I’m excited for you for your appointment, I can only imagine how exciting that is! Baby fever over here!

p.s. im multitasking here but your last post was awesome, i think its such an important issue that needs to be talked about, I also lost my period for a while when i was overexercising and undernourishing…i have never felt better since I relaxed and started eating more…i gained a few pounds but who cares? my period has been regular for a while now! i’d say thats a good sign that this is where my body was MEANT to be!

That shirt colour looks awesome on you!
I only watched the first season of the Bachelor. Soon after, we saw him in Hawaii. He was such a creep!

I actually met Apolo Ohno during his book tour!! I have a slight obsession– although he is probably a good 3 inches shorter than me. I somehow forgot how to speak when he said “Thanks for coming!” The best thing I could come up with was “Thanks for writing this book!!!” So embarrassing.

Reply

Haha. My friends and I were just talking about Jef one eff. My friend thinks he makes it all the way. I actually have a friend whose friend (got that?!) dated him and ‘claims’ she knows who wins. She said she would tell me, but I didn’t want to know.

Ummmm that meet up looks fabulous. When can I start living my life vicariously through you?

I am looking forward to my trip to Costco today. Wow. I just really reinforced my loser status.

I have only met famous choreographers (like the ones on SYTYCD) from dance conventions and I also met the casdt of Roswell because I am super cool like that (meaning I am a total loser. lol)

Pepperjack cheese FTW!

haha soo awesome that you met Jef!! I’ve never met anyone famous or at least I don’t think I have? I’m most looking forward to eating breakfast right now I’m starving!! oh and also running if I can squeeze one in :) Fingers crossed! The social media event looks like it was a ton of fun!

My bff and I waiting in line for SEVEN HOURS to meet former Bachelor Andrew Firestone at a liquor store. They cut the line after us, we were the last ones to get to meet him. He has a wine label and so was toasted by the time we met him. He was super adorable, fun, good looking…totally worth the seven hour wait. This was like, eight years ago and I still have a picture of me, my bestie and Andrew framed in my house and a bottle of his wine with his signature. It is actually a miracle that a bottle of wine has lasted in my house for eight years…

Reply

eeee! I love Jef! I just wrote about him in my last blog post :) He’s like the ONLY reason I’m still watching this season. Did he get hi-lights? I don’t like it. Where’s his flippy ‘do? Oh Jef with one f!

I love italian sodas! I can’t believe you met Jef! I won’t lie – I used to HATE how much Emily liked him – and now he is growing on me. It was a toss up through out this season between Sean and Doug for me…. as the season goes on I am team Ari or Jef – I don’t have a clear and consistent favorite which I usually have every year. I feel so conflicted! Ok, enough, Meghan.

Have fun at your Doctor’s appointment :)

AHHHHHHHH JEFF IS SOOOOOO CUTE! You lucky girl :)

Favorite cheese(s) right now (because I can’t ever pick just one…) would have to be goat cheese and motzerella. It was a really difficult decision.
Also – a belated thanks for your post on the femal athlete triad. A few weeks ago when I was getting back into running from a long time off, it was tempting to say “I need to restrict my calories to loose weight and get back into shape” but reading that made me remember that probably isn’t a good idea and I should just listen to my body and eat when I’m hungry.

Oooh FUN! I love sparkling water SOOOO Much! It is so delicious. That rocks that you met someone famous!

At a wedding reception I once met Brian Regan-the comedian. SOOO awesome! He was just as hilarious in person!

OMG, how did you not freak out? That is so cool! He seems like a genuine guy. We took our kids to Disneyland for my daughter’s 1st birthday. While walking through Downtown Disney, we ran into Tori Spelling and her family, who were also heading to Disneyland for the day. I woke up really looking forward to my run this morning, even if it would be on the treadmill instead of outside, thanks to the Houston heat and humidity (109 degrees yesterday). I felt so strong running this morning and it totally put me in the best mood. I love nail polish or lipstick, of gloss. Those are the little things that bring a smile to my face. As far as cheese goes, I’m into anything with goat cheese. Have fun at your appointment today. I loved going to each checkup. Since Peyton was born, I have said we are definitely done, but in the last few weeks, I have had some serious baby fever. Not sure if it will lead anywhere, but it does, we will have to wait until after I run my first Half Marathon in October.

ah jef! i am glad his hair looks better in these pictures than it did on the show!

i love water bottles too but in an attempt to be more green i made a custom turvis tumbler water bottle that i use all the time now.

two years ago, Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd came to my birthday dinner (and by came to dinner i mean happened to be sitting behind me in the same restaurant)! he is even more attractive in person! :)

This post has me fired up!!! First of all, Wendy’s has mac and cheese and sweet potatoes?! My two favorite food groups.

Second. You. Met. Jef. (One f). I am so jealous. :) I like her and Arie, but I think Jef wins!!

I’ve seen Kanye West (back when he was normal and not all mean) at the mall with a big body guard. I didn’t even like him that much but I was starstruck just because he was FAMOUS.
I love that salad from Wendy’s!

Unfortunately, I have never met a famous person. Although I really want to!! Today is finally supposed to be sunny and warm so I am looking forward to that. I would say that either a Starbucks coffee or a new nail polish makes me extremely happy. I am lactorse intolerant so I try and stay away from all cheese’s since they just don’t settle well. But I do love gouda and feta! :)

In Vegas a few years ago I met Constantine (American Idol, many moons ago ) We talked to him for a minute and took a picture, he was nice his…girl was a bitty :) My husband just texted me from an airport in CA and he was in line next to Sinbad. I’ve seen Donny Osmond a few times but then again who in Utah hasn’t! He is very nice, we saw him at Home Depot one day and he was very friendly to everyone who walked up to him. And they aren’t really “famous” but they are to me and my kids, we saw the Kid History family :D

I’m being totally honest when I say that I share your and Billy’s love for water bottles and nail polish. There’s a CVS across from my work and I love to go in there in the morning and buy a new water bottle. The newer the brand/shape of the bottle the better! And as for the nail polish? I have a million and will never in my life run out :)

I am so excited about this and I know you’re one of the only people who will understand. Plus it will hopefully help you to realize how beneficial your running is to your baby and body. I had my baby boy on June 15th and I am happy to say that I ran my first 2 miles post-babe on Monday, and another 2.25 today. Very slowly…but I did it. All the exercise I did while pregnant paid off and you will definitely be ahead of the game for after your deliver. I wish you the best and love reading about HRG Baby (and HRG itself:)

nail polish still makes me pretty happy. but not as happy as before. in sixth grade, I LITERALLY painted my nails a new color every, single night. I can’t even imagine the dedication to nail polish I must have had.

I saw Kanye West a year or so ago. He stopped in front of the window at the restaurant we were eating at. I love cheddar cheese!

What a fun night! I had no idea that Wendy’s came out with all that new stuff. They’re getting competitive it sounds like. I heard they have sweet potatoes know which is pretty dang awesome. I’ve met Robin Williams before in Disneyland, it was pretty cool. He was barking like a dog and I was more excited to see the “dog”, but it turned out to be just Robin Williams. My 5 year old self was disappointed, but my parents were excited. Also, the Moffats (if you even know who they are haha) lived with my neighbours for a year so I’d always be over there embarrassing myself in front of them. Awkward.

I lived and nannied in LA for 6 years so I have met several celebrities. It actually became a pretty normal occupancy because of where I lived and the type of people who have nannies. That was a fun part of my job! Several of the parents at the preschool that the little girl I nannied for went to were actors or professional athletes. My favorite nanny related celeb sighting was Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. I took the little girl to a birthday part and they were there with their little ones. I totally did a double take when Ben Affleck walked in the door… followed by Jennifer Garner. My boss was so mad that she wasn’t able to take her daughter to that party after she found out! I love all things Kardashians and saw Kim Kardashian at LAX one time. She is really short (plus I am tall so she seemed even shorter) Final one I want to share is I saw Robert Pattinson at a club my friend was playing at. That was the craziest situation EVER. I had never seen paparazzi like that before. It was absolutely insane and I gotta say it definitely lowered my view of the paparazzi.

Reply

Cool that you met Jef. Luckily my husband loves to watch Bachelorette with me (but don’t tell anyone I told you), so I can’t wait to tell him that you met him. Wow, I must have a boring life, that this is the exciting part of my day!

Reply

AHHHHH!!! I just peed myself a little. You met Jef! I would have grabbed him and not let him go. My guess is he doesn’t win, but I sure want to ambush make out with him!

Reply

NO WAY!!! That is SOO cool about Jef with one ‘f’!!!! In college, my friends and I went up the Beverly Hills Hilton fire escape in our old prom dresses to get into the Golden Globes after party and we saw a lot of celebs up close and personal. All I remember is sitting next to Paris Hilton and wondering why she was even famous…haha. Each celeb got their own box of Godiva Chocolates at their dinner seat, but no one ever ate them so we would sneak in and stuff our faces with the leftovers after the award ceremony ended. Sucking up to the security guards is always a smart move.

OMGGGG I can’t believe you met him! He is my FAVORITE right now. I call him Knee High Guy because he wore random knee high blue socks a few episodes ago?!? That’s sooo cool you met him, he looks WAY cuter in your pics than on the show, I think, ha!

You’re pretty tall, aren’t you? Jef is taller than I thought he was! I always pictured him as a shortie! And he’s cuter in those pictures than I think he is on the show!

Last summer I was in Philadelphia (for HLS, actually) and a bunch of us girls went out to get fro yo. I was at a machine sampling yogurt and i turn around and who do i see? Ashley and JP!!!!! from the last seasons’ Bachelorette!!! it was so funny and of course a ton of girls started surrounding them for pictures, but they were sweet (espc jp – he seemed like a really good guy), and ashley was all too eager to show off her rock lol. anyway, that’s my little bachelorette story!! <–they eat frozen yogurt too lol :P
