What up!?!?!? Today’s workout was brought to you by, “I want big muscles and want to strengthen my femurs.”

I started with 30 minutes on the elliptical….super light level and read ‘Runners Times’ as I went.

60 minute pump class that kicked my booty.  Pretty sure my tricep popped out of my skin because it was getting so huge from all the work that we did on them.

Finished off with 5 minutes of stretching.  After being out of the game for 3 months I finally have learned I need to do whatever I can in my power to prevent injuries.  Stretching may be boring but it is a lot less boring than sitting on my butt for a few months!

Tuesday was a biiiiig rest for me :D Just tried to stretch a little during the day because I get so stiff and sore from sitting at my desk all day.

Today (Wednesday) I’m doing a spin class with my favourite instructor (Terrible Tina. She kicks my butt every Wednesday night), and probably a lil elliptical + lotssssssssss of stretchies :)

I did a speed workout yesterday…6×800 @ 7.2/8:20 on the treadmill w/1:30 RI. The first 4 were fine, but the last 2 were hard and I had to stop in the middle of them but I finished with a running time of 25:57! I am taking a body pump style class today!!

To Holly: are you doing the training from the run less, run faster book? because I am and today I am doing my speed work which is 6x800s….that’s so funny!

I am! I’m doing the 10k plan and I’m 5 weeks out from my 10k. It was dropped down to just the 5k last year so I’m trying to combine the 2 plans. Fortunately the speed work is the same for both.

‘Morning BFF! I got in 5 miles this morning with my neighbor, and, luckily, my crew has swim practice at the gym tonight, so I get another hour to sweat. I am thinking tonight will be 2 mile run to w/u and upper body weight work.

Post run fuel this morning? fresh picked strawberries, covered with some home-made yogurt and granola, then the most ginormous rice krispie treat ever. Rice krispies are breakfast food, right?

Keep on that gradual comeback! Slow and steady, stretch and rest.
