Spectating makes me hungry and 26.2

May 7, 2011

I think Provo wins the award for the most marathon spectators.  I was so excited all morning to come out and watch the marathon.  I kept running in to tell BIlly the latest update.  “I am the only person outside for miles and I am still loving every second.”  I brought out my breakfast and a few minutes later the leaders ran by and Billy had to hold me back from joining in and running with them.  It is completely normal to be craving ‘hitting the wall’ right?!?!?!

After spin, a lil’ elliptical and some weights (aka 3 minutes of attempting to try to motivate myself to do anything) I met with some friend’s from college at the usual hang out spot.  Seriously, if you are ever in Utah County I guarantee you can find me chillaxing at a table in Yogurtland.

Billy said I look like a pirate in that shirt.  He is getting smarter and quickly added, “I mean a hot pirate.”  Just the look I was going for.

The amazing people at 26.2 sent me the CUTEST outfit.  I know you are saying to yourself, “Janae, why are you wearing those running clothes when you are a complete gimp and not even allowed to jump on the elevator.”  My answer for you is that I use them for lifting, spin, the elliptical and walking around so that I look cool and so that people think I am still a runner:)  I really LOVE how they feel and let’s be honest, their colors are the cutest.

You are welcome 26.2 for washing my hair before the photo shoot so that people wouldn’t associate a grease ball with your clothing.  I really do LOVE what they have…check out their website!

Sometimes I forget that people read my blog and I put really weird pictures of myself on and don’t even think twice.

The only con of the outfit is for my next game of hide and go seek at night.  The reflector’s on the back would give me away in a second.

What are your Saturday night plans?

-We are going to our fave restaurant and then wherever the wind takes us (which will probably be a movie).

What was the biggest race that you ran in or that you spectated?

-The SLC marathon was the biggest one that I ran in but I think that New York in November might be a little bigger.

What color do you work out in the most?

-Black with accents of BRIGHT colors.

Emma (Sweet Tooth Runner) May 7, 2011 at 4:29 pm

You are SUCH A MODEL!!! You look GORGEOUS rockin' those running clothes!! :)

Running clothes usually a black top and BRIGHT Nike tempos cos I love those shorts more than life itself and am building a collection of them in every colour produced:)

And haha I lolled SO MUCH when I saw you have a Yogurtland badge in your sidebar!! Hilarious!! :D

runningonwords May 7, 2011 at 4:40 pm

The biggest one I ran in was today and it was massive! The half alone had almost 6000 finishers, which sounds like a lot to me, but probably isn't. Thanks to said race, my plans involve sleeping and eating.

I work out in mostly black with a lot of blues and grays. That 26.2 stuff is super cute!

marathonmaiden May 7, 2011 at 4:44 pm

black and pink. hot pink.

hopefully my saturday plans are mundane because i was out waaaaaaaaaaaaay too late last night!!

YAY spectating! :) xoxoxo

cleaneatingchelsey.com May 7, 2011 at 4:51 pm

Such a cute running outfit!!I love the reflectors on the back – being safe while running is a plus.

Tonight I am sitting on my couch and not moving until I go to bed. I have been so busy and tonight is my first night to just relax in such a long time.

Jake May 7, 2011 at 4:59 pm

Aren't you lucky!! I work at 26.2 and they don't give me free outfits…how rude ;) You are making me think that I need to start meself a blog :) Nike Free's for FREE…outfits for FREE…friends for FREE…jk on that last one, I only pay some of my friends ;)

runnerbree May 7, 2011 at 5:05 pm

I did a half in Maryland (Frederick, anyone?) and the crowd support was about the same as in the picture in certain areas. Thanks for coming out to cheer on the runners- I needed cheering today!

fitchocoholic May 7, 2011 at 5:07 pm

Cute running outfit!!!!
Not doing much tonight…my sister and I are gonna hang out together!!

skinnyrunner.com May 7, 2011 at 5:09 pm

girl you should be a model. those clothes look adorable on you!!

Chelsea May 7, 2011 at 5:30 pm

I love how that picture turned out. It was so great to see you today! And yes, Yogurtland has won my heart! Loved it. The baseball game was fun, we are just hanging out at home tonight. Have fun at your anniversary dinner. Love ya!

lolzthatswim May 7, 2011 at 5:37 pm

I wear anything bright and obnoxious. I find it totally acceptable to wear. I think people are way past judging me.

Missy May 7, 2011 at 5:45 pm

That outfit from 26.2 is super cute, I saw that Skinnyrunner and Almostrunner were talking about that line, I am definitely going to have to check it out now!
Also I was just thinking that I should volunteer for a race just to be on the other side and cheer on the runners. I guess I will put that on my to do list!

Running Ricig May 7, 2011 at 5:57 pm

I wear tons of bright colors when I'm running. Which is funny because I usually wear fairly dark colors during normal life. Love your 26.2 outfit/photoshoot!

My saturday night plans are chilling out with Mike and Bungee. We had a big day of running, yard work, and hiking. We're beat!!

Laura :o) May 7, 2011 at 5:59 pm

I would KILL to see mountains like that. OH MY GOSH breathtakingly beautiful. Try looking at where you live from someone else's eyes. Seriously you live in such a beautiful state. UTAH here I come… one day. Oh & when I go I will have to try Yogurtland. I've never even heard of it till I came across your blog.

Elena @ Gaga For Grapefruit May 7, 2011 at 6:03 pm

you're so presh lady! and those clothes are too cute!

runyogarepeat May 7, 2011 at 6:12 pm

Love the modeling pictures!
The biggest race I've run in is a marathon + relay in Vermont, and there's so much energy from all the runners & all the spectators.

Lee May 7, 2011 at 6:23 pm

My Saturday night plans include hanging out on the couch and reading blogs. Very interesting, I know.

I run the Peachtree Road Race each year which is 55,000 people. It's a 10K.

Kristin May 7, 2011 at 6:24 pm

Cute Outfit!!

ash May 7, 2011 at 6:25 pm

i really need to hunt down the nearest yogurtland. i've been having major frozen yogurt cravings since i started reading your blog (coincidence…? i think not.)

my saturday night plans are chilling on the couch with my boyfriend and a good movie :) and I usually work out in blues/pinks/black.

Alaina May 7, 2011 at 6:30 pm

Well, it's Saturday night right now and I'm catching up on blogs, getting ready to watch a movie and eating pizza. Awesome. :-)

Lindsay and James Cotter May 7, 2011 at 6:38 pm

you are an awesome spectator for sure! and i love the outfit. I would sleep in it, cause I am weird like that. Weird pictures are the best. Rock it girl…I mean hot pirate. Rrrrrrrrrgh!

EBURNS May 7, 2011 at 6:49 pm

You look great in the running outfit!
LC the above poster said she would sleep in it……me too because I have gotten lazy like that. I like to roll out right to my workout…. not sure the hubby thinks the sports bra is his idea of cute jammies. :)

Vanessa @ Gourmet Runner May 7, 2011 at 7:10 pm

Such a great spectator Janae!
Saturday night is lazing around watching movies night, yeah! (And eating super cheap Easter jellybeans that were on clearance…oh yeah)

Jess @ Blonde Ponytail May 7, 2011 at 7:10 pm

You will be hitting 'the wall' soon enough!! :)

You are modeling the gear legit — I have the same shorts! :) you look 100x more like a runner in them tho!!

I usually stick to black and some other color cuz I like to match!!! :)

Why May 7, 2011 at 7:25 pm

Girl I'm gonna send you some of my 26.2 modeling pics, Billy can photoshop me into yours, and we can be real besties finally. Right?

Julia May 7, 2011 at 7:33 pm

i am getting so addicted to 26.2 clothes and I do not even own any yet…i just read about them ALL the time. haha.

I am so sad I did not see you at the race today. I should have just ran down to your house :) BIggest race I ran in was today…but I CANT WAIT FOR UTAH VALLEYYY!

Love you. oh and you are still a runner…even if you cant run right now. I hated that comment "so people think I am still a runner." Don't ever say that again. k? great. now that we got that outta the way…I CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN :)

Pam May 7, 2011 at 7:37 pm

I'm "feenin" for some 26.2 outfits!! You and SR look great in them! I love the black/pink!! :)

Have a great time tonite!! :)

Kate May 7, 2011 at 7:57 pm

I love that outfit!! So cute! I ran in the Country Music half marathon last week in Nashville… I think it had 30,000 people. I'm so scared to run a smaller race since there won't be as many spectators :)

RunningOnCoffee May 7, 2011 at 8:07 pm

I love that you wore running shorts to watch the race :) What shoes are you wearing, the NB minimus??

Tonight's plans: sitting on the couch watching tv.

Biggest Race: Philly Rock n' Roll Half marathon in September 2010 (I think it was ~15k people).

Most Worn Color: Black (running shorts, spinning shorts, crops, and a couple tanks and long sleeve tops). After that, blue is a runner up.

Meg O @watchmegorun May 7, 2011 at 8:26 pm

love those pics and love the color combo! There's a new ice cream/fro yo place that opened literally right now the street from me. I'm in trouble…the bf and I went tonight. I had pb fro yo for the first time. LOVE at first bite.

Amanda May 7, 2011 at 8:27 pm

I love your blog!

My Saturday night plans: I'm watching a documentary on the royal family (obsessed!) on PBS and about to crash. Got up way too early for a 5k this morning and no time to nap today.

Biggest race I've run (and running again in 2 months yay!) is the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta. Over 50k people and so.much.fun.

MrsQ318 May 7, 2011 at 9:13 pm

Right now most of my running clothes falls somewhere in the black/gray/navy category, but I'm getting ready to buy several much brighter items!

indecisiveathlete May 7, 2011 at 9:18 pm

That is an awesome running outfit! Love the colors too.

I went to a strawberry festival tonight and watched fireworks. It was so fun :)

The biggest race I've ran in is the Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston,SC its like giant party

Katelyn @ Chef Katelyn May 7, 2011 at 9:35 pm

I went out to dinnnnner tonight!! I am so glad you had a fun time at the race, slash we have the same legs, I know that sounds major creeps but it is so true!!!

jenny winstead May 7, 2011 at 9:47 pm

Amanda@runninghood May 7, 2011 at 10:00 pm

You look GREAT Janae! I've thought of you a lot lately. Everytime I want to stick my lip out and pout about my injury I just think of you and perk right up. Thanks for being a model of how to see the bright side of things. :)

juddfam May 7, 2011 at 10:02 pm

Saturday night plans- planning my primary singing time lesson & cleaning my house for the fam to come over tomorrow.

Love the clothes! I don't really have a main color- just a hodge podge. I really need a running outfit makeover.

My biggest race- the SLC 1/2 marathon 6 years ago! A couple babies later, I'm about to run my 1st marathon on the 21st. Can't wait!

Coy Martinez May 8, 2011 at 5:06 am

Hey faraway friend! Lets see, last night I watched a Kevin Spacey movie AND went to see Thor (which was fun).

OH, most importantly went and bought some new Pearl Izumi bike shorts! Love them!!

Mamarunsbarefoot May 8, 2011 at 6:49 am

Boston was my biggest spectating race..

Melissa May 8, 2011 at 10:20 am

Cute running outfit!! Besides the con of giving away your location during hide and seek, I love the reflectors!!

Shane guilted me into staying up until 10:00 last night…to watch tv. I know, soooo late ;)

And I've never been a spectator before!! I really want to make a sign and cheer on some runners though!!

stoppingfordaisies.com May 8, 2011 at 4:04 pm

Love love love that top and shorts!! I really want some clothes from 26.2, I've heard amazing things from them, but I feel like I should be able to run that distance in order to be able to wear their clothes. And I don't know that I'll ever be able to run that far.

I totally want to spectate now, looks like fun!

Giving a Pandora elegance bracelet is in fact a amazing treat for any youthful woman or teenager. usually you maybe can acquire the bracelet by itself with 3 or 4 beads witout a doubt within the bracelet (they are nicely separated, even in the occasion you only have several charms on them.) Then, men and women can combine towards bracelet by offering charms for birthdays, xmas or other specific times which include a unforgettable vacation, graduating from high-school, and later on the delivery of her 1st child, etc.

If you have obtained considered about or see the probability of sexual intercourse entering into your now platonic friendship possessing a person, only one while using very first steps you could possibly be able to look at on to steer clear of catastrophe is frequently to concentrate on your feelings with that person.
